Club Cascadas de Baja, Cabo San Lucas

We just returned last week June 11' and I can honestly say it was horrible. It's a love it or hate it resort and I'm sure by reading some of the other reviews many people love it , just not us. We didn't mind having no tv, radio, phones etc, but it was the very unfriendly front desk staff, dirty, out-dated rooms, over priced food and terrible kids program (hardly one at all - my kids were bored out of their brains) that we experienced. Seriously, we've stayed at several resorts all over North America and this has to rate up their as one of the worst ones we've ever stayed at. We joked about this place all week calling it Club Caskanka. It's old, uncomfortable and very unfriendly. Also, the onsite concierge "Eduardo"was a joke. He knew very little about things to do or places to eat and he made you feel bad for taking some of his time up.... it was like he didn't want to be bothered...... Sorry to be so negative, I think we just caught this place on a bad week...... If you stay here, (I hope you don't) be prepared for a very unpleasant experience and unhelpful staff.... Very dated... It does have a nice beach (they all do on Medano), but the vendors drove me crazy!!! Find another place to stay, you'll be glad you did!!

This is a very beautiful and relaxing resort. The location on the beach is great. The beach area was not as crowded as some of the other neighboring resorts. The villas and grounds were always very clean. The resort and restaurant staff were very polite and helpful. You have to get to the beach around 5:30 or 6:00am to get a palapa on the front row but it is worth it. The view is beautiful. Our villa was Perla 2 and we had an amazing view of the beach. Our private swimming pool and jacuzzi was extremely clean and our pool was never cold. No TV in the unit but we didn't miss it. There are TV's in both Cafes. You can use two telephones in the lobby to call the United States. It cost $3 per minute. I could receive calls on my cell phone but I could not call out. Text messages worked fine. I would definitely go back to this resort.

This is the most amazing place I've ever been. Gone back several times with different people and all say the same. Last trip I figured I might as well buy because staying anywhere else would be a let down. Just look at the pictures! The Villas and the people are fantastic.

Clean but primitive with mosquitos ,Not TV Radio, In a Club House once a day movie (Not new) , Was advertised as 5 star hotel (probably by Martian categories) , Food expensive 350-400 pesos for MEX ? food !!!!. I would rather stay in my swimming pool , then "communal"Waste of money

Absolutely perfect! Immaculate rooms, spacious! We had 2 bdroom Escondido 20 with bay view (sunrise every morning). Movies and activities everyday for kids. Immaculate grounds, fabulous housekeeping and overall staff. Cascadas Grille restaurant was excellent and so was the staff. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the beach. 15 min walk to downtown and still far enough away from all the "spring breakers". Just perfect. Will go again every year. Tennis court, basketball and other activities for kids. We can't say enough about it. Beautiful beach. Get up early to "reserve" your palapa on the beach. Loved "authentic" rooms & decor. Best vacation ever. Could not recommend anything better.

I love CC....it is really my home away from home. The Giddings family created and maintain a wonderful intimate resort that retains the village feeling that Cabo became so appealing to travelers. Being retired airline, I can travel anywhere but still make a point to go to CC several times per year. I'm proud to be a Legay owner and to have gotten to know the CC folks by name. The units are cleaned daily by maids including your dishes. Service is friendly. Yes, the apts. over the front of the hotel are just ok but you will be floored by the Perlas, the Arcos, and even the cute Perlitas. Baja/Mexico is a place to slow down, relax and make some memories if you are so inclined.

You can tell by the reviews why people go to the club. No TV, phone, radio or disco can be a blessing or a mightly loss. Cascadas has TV in the club house; phones at points throughout the grounds and an internet lounge. Small pools without tequila fire extinguisher pool men. Serenity with gentle staffing. Always improving.

I have been going to Club Cascadas since i was 4. This place is great. This year I will be taking my daughter fro her first time and i cant wait to watch her spend 2 weeks a summer enjoying herself just as i did.

Not very helpfull and friendly, I have a two bedroom resort and they gave me a one bedroom that was like a hotel room very noisy next to main street. I complained but they did not care. We also experieced our first Tropical storm that looked like a huracane, no TV no radio no Phone. Food and drinks are very expensive.

We go back every year and it only gets better. The only destination we have ever gone to where 95% of the rooms are occupied by owners - they keeping coming back because of the way we are treated, the great food and the service. If you can get a reservation, take it.
