Unfortunate experience

We stayed at the hotel because my wife and I were getting married in the county courthouse. We picked the location because of its convenient location. While the hotel itself was nice, the service left much to be desired. Check-in was problematic because they actually charged 3 separate cards for the room. They refused to believe that the credit card we initially used to hold the room was already being charged. It was and that meant the card was declined during check-in. We tried to explain that the statement for our card clearly said Marriott, but they refused to believe us. The person checking us in said she would not charge us for parking as an apology. That charge was still there during check-out. The manager explained they had no authority to remove the parking charges.
After check-in, the baggage handler broke one of our suitcases while carrying it into the room. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel that first night. The food was okay, but once again, we barely had anyone serve us, and were not offered bread or asked if we wanted dessert when we finished eating our meals. Upon check-out, we called ahead for the car and called for a baggage handler to help with the luggage. After 30 minutes, there was no baggage handler and our car was not ready. We took our luggage down to the lobby ourselves, and despite the fact that multiple staff members were in the lobby with luggage carts, no one offered to help us.
The room itself was mediocre. There was no exhaust in the bathroom, so the entire room was fogged up after taking a shower. It was also quite warm considering we lowered the thermostat all the way down to 60 degrees (it would not go any lower). We only heard the air conditioner kick on once during our multi-night stay. The hotel itself is in a good location and is nice, but the service could definitely use improvement.
