The Super 8 San Luis Obispo is easily accessible from Hwy 101 north and south. The motel is centrally located to all major attractions and next door to historic downtown San Luis Obispo. Hearst Castle is only 38 miles away, with wineries and beaches within minutes of the property. Cal Poly University and Performing Arts Center is within easy walking distance. The Super 8 offers a free Continental breakfast every morning and an outdoor swimming pool. All guestrooms have free high speed internet access, microwaves, refrigerators, iron and ironing board, hair dryers, coffee and tea makers, alarm clock radios, 27 inch TV's with cable and HBO channels. Pets for a $10.00 per night fee.

OK for a night, bare bones, don't expect much ...

Super 8 Motel served its purpose; it was a place to sleep for a night or two. Not exactly the most luxurious motel, but if you need a rest stop for a night, there are other places that could've been worse. Also, a big plus for me was that the room didn't smell smokey, just a little musty. The beds were ok, and the service wasn't rude or exemplary, just normal. The pool is the size of a postage stamp but OK for a dip. Good internet access. Overall, 2-3 stars.
 
 
 
 
 
Don't Stay here! Dirty & Smelly

DON"T STAY HERE!! This dirt hole is filthy, reeks of cigarette smoke and is falling apart. The manager and the front desk help are rude. The walls are dirty. If you reserve a non smoking room, they will not give you one when you arrive. The rooms stink so bad that you can't breath. When I complained, they said they had no other rooms but I could NOT have my money back. The pool is about the size of a hot tub and although the web sight calls it "heated", it is FREEZING Cold!! There was no one swimming in it for a good reason. Do yourself a favor and stay at The Sands across the street or even in a different town as there is not much to do in this one.

Non-responsive management

Rowdy, drinking motel guests directly outside our room late at night over a period of several nights. Management would not or could not deal with these problem guests despite our repeated requests. Our vacation was ruined because we could not get a restful nights sleep.

Will do in a pinch

Don't expect the Ritz Carlton. Our room was very clean. There was no refrigerator, as listed online, that was only downfall and the swimming pool was too small. Good location, very quiet, no problems with outside noise, ample parking and covered parking was available, too. Staff was very courteous and friendly. We would opt to stay there again. Felt overall that the rooms were overpriced, though.

will never go back

This hotel was too expensive for the rooms. No fridge. No microwave, no breakfast, no parking. The rooms are dirty inside. The WHITE towels were dingy grey, worn. The rooms are too dark and not modern at all and they smell. Hotel is very noisy with trucks running by all hours of the night. Very noisy hotel. Dont stay here if you want to sleep.
