Great Valentines Day trip idea..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/20/10
Hubby and I went last year for Vday. Enjoyed it. Great weather for February. About 85* inthe day and about 60* in the evening. Hotel is deserving of its ***s Did not like the timeshare sales people in the lobby. That was the only -. % minute walk to mini mall. Walking distance to Party zone, 5-10$ taxi ride to downtown market area.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL & GREAT SERVICE!
By PilarD, 06/25/09
We just came back from our first time vacation at Cancun, where we stay at this GREAT and BEAUTIFUL hotel Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach. It is just AMAZING from the entrance, the rooms, the food and the service. This is a real 5 star hotel. Every day someone will open you the doors and greet you with a big smile, also the room-attendants so nice and respectful ladies. The pool is HUGE and CLEAN. The beach is BEAUTIFUL, calm cristal water with white sand. We have a lot of fun! We do the activity with the dolphins in the hotel right at the side of Fiesta Americana...this experience will be something unforgettable for all of us! The hotel have a great location so close to shopping centers, restaurants and night-life as Cocobongo...but we are not in that mood, this is just family vacation. We visit Tulum, Xcaret, Playa del Carmen...great places! Well, this is winning as my favorite vacation ever, and I wish I can return sometime and stay again in this AWSOME hotel!

Get down there!
By Flounder, 06/03/09
We just got back from Cancun and stayed at the FA Coral Beach for the second year in a row. It was another fantastic time and even better this year than last year due to the lack of crowds and service. We bascially had the pools and beaches to ourselves. The service at the pools, concierge desk, and Isla Contoy restaurant were fantastic. The beach is very tranquil and our young kids could swim and play in the surf and look for shells. Unlike the surf on the main strip of the hotel zone, this beach is great for kids. The health club, although an additional charge, was very nice and served the purpose. What a great trip. I would recommend that you visit Cancun and the FA Grand Coral Beach.

Paradise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/09
We had seen this hotel on the travel channel and weren't sure if the hype was worth staying there. Let me just tell you, we had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff was wonderful. I must admit, room service is a bit pricy, but it's worth it. Since we went to Cancun to lounge around in the sun, we did not take any business attire, hence we were unable to eat in the two restaurants, but the cafe and outdoor restaurant were good. This is by far the best place to stay at. This place was great for swimming since there are no waves. My family and I will go back to this hotel at one point!

Great Place
By Chondis, 03/04/09
I went to Cancun 1 week ago and stayed at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral, it is simply amazing! It is a great hotel, with very nice service, have a great beach and a very large pool. Also it is placed in the middle of the tourist area and closer to the town. You can take the bus to go along the Kukulkan strip or walk to see all the hotels placed over this large and great boulevard. I have been visited Cancun and Playa del Carmen since 2006 almost in this season and it is great. Not to much people and great weather to rest and slow down.

It's Paradise
By Ninh, 02/25/09
This place deserves 5-diamond rating and more. Every single hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. They went out of the way to get us what we needed. The beach and pools are both beautiful. We tried all restaurants here except one (it was full) and the food was also very delicious. They taylored it to what we wanted. Our only complaint was that the towels were hard like they were dried in the sun. We definitely would come back to this place.

A GRAND Hotel - will stay there again
By Leer587, 08/07/08
This hotel truely deserves the 5 diamonds recognition by AAA. As you walked into the lobby you noticed the grand and elegant foyer. You are greated with fruit drink refreshment as you are checking in. The room has a wonderful view of the pool and ocean, and is very clean. The bed was very confortable. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and goes out of their way to help you with all your needs - from making dinner reservation, to flight confirmation on your behalf. Like most high end hotels, the meals from the in-house restaurants are pricey. Average price for breakfast (non-buffet style) for family of 3 will cost you around 400 pesos (roughly around 40 USD) without tips. If you chose a buffet breakfast, you can expext to pay 300 pesos per person Now, dinner is a totally different story, you will need to take out a second mortage if you intend to eat in the hotel every night during your stay. However, there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance of this hotel (such as, The Rainforrest Cafe; Hard Rock Cafe; Chili, Mexican Steak House, and Argentian Steak House, etc...). Or you can catch a bus to other restaurants that are located in the hotel zone. Buses run very frequent. However, non of them are air conditioned. you will have to reply on opended windows to cool you off as you ride on buses in Cancun. Imagine ridding in a crowed bus on a hot day without AC. We tried it for one trip, and rented a car for the duration of our stay - money well spent. Sorry for deviating from the hotel review... the pool of this hotel is to die for. You can rent a cabana for 500 pesosa day (if you want privacy) or a couple of pool loungers for free. These are also available on the beach as well. After a long day at the pool or at the beach, and you want to burn off some calories from having too many daquiries, you can also use the exercise facility for 10 USD per visit per person. They have the state of the art exercise equipments and while you are working out in this huge exercise room you also have a terrific view of the ocean as well. Afterward, you can use their steam room, and shower facility. For those who wishes to be pampered, they also offered messages at a rate that I believe to be very reasonalble (75 USD and up for half an hour, depends on the type of messages you wish to select) For those of you who like to burn up calories, but hate weight lifting and hate sitting on a stationary bike going no where, you can go play tennis in their indoor tennis facility. They have 3 indoor tennis courts for a cost of 20 USD for an hour. We have stayed in hotels throughout Europe and Asia Pacific Regions while on vacation, we have concluded this hotel is by far the best interm of staff member services, cleanliness, comfortable, friendlyness, and overall appearance and decor. It is just a WONDERFUL place to stay on your vacation.

AMAZING!
By lagirl, 07/29/08
I researched Cancun hotels alot before I booked this hotel, and I am so glad that I did! It was amazing! The beach and pool are exactly what the pictures look like online. Absolutely gorgeous! I could've spent our whole vacation at the hotel! We didn't do the all-inclusive, but there are so many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel that we were glad that we didn't. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping areas or it's just a short cab drive away. The service was perfect. Guest services helped us find restaurants within our price range and made reservations for us and looked up our flights when we were leaving. They were very helpful! Everything was very clean.. there were always people cleaning the beach and pool area so it was always perfect looking. The best beach around too! We walked to the surrounding hotels pools and they were all very rocky. The pool and beach area were never packed either.. there was plenty of room to move around without feeling crowded. We're already trying to figure out when we'll go back! Would definitely recommend this hotel!
