Sweet and friently
By anastasia, 2/19/12
Dinnie, the owner of Aaron Burr House was very friendly and helped me with several details according my transportation, shopping and dinner. I enjoyed my breakfast very much at the Wedgewood inn. It was very tasty. Outside I could see a deer breasting her baby, squirrels climbing around and beautiful flowers. I came again in January and I .will come back in March. I love old houses with soul and I can tell that I found one in New Hope.

New Hope = enchanted Christmas village..
By Sara, 12/22/10
Aaron Burr b&b was the perfect inn spot for our Christmas shopping trip to Nw Hope. We arrived early and checked-in with a smiling innkeeper who gave us som tips on dining on "Locals Night". Hot chocolate by Martine's and dinner at Karla's and live music at John and Peter's Place was topped = off with dessert on the floor in our Canopied bedroom in front of our roaring fireplace. Tho we slept in this time and missed breakfast, innkeeper Ana graciously offered us coffee and baked goods at 11:15 am! And she wrapped some Apple cinn muffins for the road! New Hope is a fun winter destination too.

New Hope for the 4th
By innthecrowd, 7/6/05
Convenient in-town location to enjoy the lively July 4th festivities in this lovely town, and Lambertville (NJ) too. E J and Lupe welcomed us with minted iced tea and fresh-baked cookies. Our queen canopy bed had a great mattress and beautiful sheets and pillow cases (4 pillows!) After hanging out 'downtown' all night listening to live music at John and Peters, 90 Main and Havanna's, all we had to do was stroll back to "our Inn" to make our own fireworks! We checked out after our breakfast in bed (a well-earned treat & free too) and followed Lupe's advise and went to Rice's Market with her and Dinie Tuesday late morning and shopped with the locals.

In-town convenience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/12/05
Located on top of a tree lined street in the New Hope Historic District, Burr had its own off-street parking onsite (and free). We checked in and never used are car again! Even Lambertville (NJ) was just 2 blocks across a neat steel bridge ov er the Delaware River. Super clean and comfortable, our large room had a Q canopy bed and woodburning fireplace. We requested a breakfast tray in our room which was delicious; homebaked breads, an egg dish, oj-cran-pineapple juice (yum!)fresh friut parfait, meuslics and a wonderful selection of teas to choose from. In the afternnon cookies were available, and coffee and tea was available all day long. We also had 24 hour access to a Butlers Pantry.

Sleepless in New Hope
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/14/05
My husband and I stayed at the Aaron Burr house for Valentine's Weekend. We were greeted by a host at the Wedgwood Inn and were then accompanied by him to the Aaron Burr house. Upon arrival we noticed that although we were staying at an expensive inn, the little details that most inns provide were missing. No lotions, an industrial size bottle of body wash/shampoo was in the shower, the cookies that were sitting out in the kitchen dining room area seemed a little bit old...just some little things. We stayed in a room on the first floor which was right on the main street. I expected noise from the traffic, but was surprised by the slamming front door that awoke us through the night. The last door slam was at 2:30am so we weren't well rested for the next day. Also, our mattress sloped in the center and I felt myself sliding towards the middle of the bed throughout the evening. The next morning we asked for another room and were told the inn was fully booked and that if were wanted to leave they would not refund our money. Breakfast left alot to be desired. We were basically served the same egg dish two days in a row. Plus stale croissants and muffins that tasted like they had been frozen and then reheated. We could not control the heat in our room and actually had the air conditioning on in the middle of a very cold February weekend. It had to be about 80 degrees in our room. We also had a fireplace which we payed more money for and couldn't enjoy it the first night b/c it was just too hot. We smartened up the second night and blasted the air conditioning so we could enjoy at least one fire. The room was very clean and the location for enjoying New Hope is excellent. We were walking distance from some great restaurants and even a Starbucks! The room was very nicely decorated. My husband and I are well seasoned bed and breakfast people and have been to many inns where the hospitality was abundant. This inn felt like it was being run more like a hotel. I would reccommend if you're thinking about staying in the New Hope area that you check out the Woolverton Inn. We stayed last year around the same time and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, they were all booked up for Valentine's this year.

Bed,Breakfast and ...Breweries
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/04
New Hope is a college town for adults! Great choice of fine restaurants, martini lounges, live entertainment and outdoor cafes....all just steps from the door of Aaron Burr House. We parked our car in the lot in back and never had to use it again. The knowledgeable and friendly innkeepers pointed us to a micro-brewery/restaurant (Triumph) and an out-of-the way micro-brewery factory with a tiny tasting room (River Horse Brewery). The Breakfast-in-Bed next to our fireplace was the best! Next time we'll do the self-drive WineTrail.

Aaron Burr House
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/9/04
Beautiful victorian home located one block from the center of one of my favorite escape towns. There is so much character in each of the distinctly decorated rooms. One of the most exciting things is to peek into all the rooms when leaving to see where we want to stay next. All the charming qualities of a bed and breakfast including evening cordials set at the fireplace in the common room and the wonderful array of breakfast bites awaiting in the morning. Grab a bite and set out for a stroll, or sit and chat with your fellow travelers. A wonderful and peaceful stay in a fantastic town.
