Great view and Great Price
This hotel has a splendid view of the world trade center and within 100 ft of the world famous 4 faced buddha! I've stayed at other hotels in Bangkok before (meridien, parthunam princess, century park) and this one by far, has the BEST view and 2nd best location.
For the world-center goers, there is a bridge from the hotel that links directly to the world trade center. I stayed in a room on the 14th floor which already had a great view of the awesome city. At night, all the lights are just breathtaking.
Rooms come with free breakfast that offer their famous fried rice and also croissants for those want a little bit of home. All that in the price of $60usd is really quite worth it! For those on a tight budget, the room can easily fit 4 people and will be much cheaper than a backpacker's haunt. Although staying in the backpackers district does have it "plusses" for the younger partygoing crowd.
As for service, here's a little story. It was raining one morning when we were leaving the hotel, as we stepped out of the main foyer, the attentive staff ran up to us to give us an umbrella. Even though their english was not great, they kept indicating to us to use it. That was a REALLy nice touch! If you're looking for nothing luxurious, ona tight budget (as I always seem to be), this is the place.
