Unpleasant surprise

We left our hotel room at 7:30 pm for a wonderful evening out. We arrived back at midnight to find a form letter outside of our room to inform us that we were changing rooms. Upon inquiring with the desk apparently the hotel knew for sometime we would have to vacate our room. Having a trip planned for the next morning meant everything needed to be repacked at one in the morning. A very unpleasant surprise indeed. The front desk maintained they knew all along. if so....why didn't we know upon check in so that we weren't faced with repacking on day three of our four night stay....???? We wouldn't stay here again.

Un horror

La verdad después de 11 años de estar visitando la isla de ARUBA y haber pagado durante esos once (11) años el mantenimiento y ahora La remodelación, NO me queda más que decirles que todo se acabó, por la mala Gerencia y la mala administración, del 20% vendido durante tanto tiempo NO se ha arreglado nada!!!! optimiceb si pueden ese 20% porque de ventas nada, es un anzuelo para agarrar a los incautos que se atrevan a comprar aquí. Es más están practicamente perdidos, lástima por su Gente amable, y ese personal tan afectuoso y leal. Me siento perdida!!!!! triste y decepcionada. OJO!!!!!!!! SOS!!!!!!!! el Resort está en las peores condiciones que jamás haya visto.

Would not stay here again

Loved the island but not the Aruban Resort!!! There was no literature that told you anythings!! No hours of what's open when. The hot tub was cold all week. We complained daily but t no avail. Then when checking out the tax they charged us was almost the total cost of what we paid for the entire week!!! Never again!!!!

It's only going to get better. Just bought a week at The Aruban Resort & Casino. A Las Vegas company bought it and is re-doing it. It will be a world-class resort.

WE have been coming to Aruba for 10 years and the Aruban formerly La Cabana is centrally located. There is daily and early evening entertainment(free)We usually wait for the best deals, and at the last minute we book to Aruba...Great place to vacation! The place is clean and offers a variety of eateries on the grounds, that are excellent.

Very disappointed.. I would not go back to this resort.

We went there last summer, around August 07. Although, its a great place. The weather is perfect all year round. Not humid but hot and brezzy. As of the resort, I was very disappointed. I was told that this was a 5 start resort. It did seem like it. The pool was dirty with alot of rocks & by afternoon the looked very dirtly. We stayed at the 2 bedroom suite and it was not clean. I believe it needs a makeover. The maid service was very nice. Our room did not face the beach & we had to walk across the street, pass thru a another resort to go to beach.

i'll be back

we went with friends a few years ago & really enjoyed everything about it. the pools were beautiful, rooms were always clean . room service was great, when we ordered a bottle of champagne for our friends one evening it was delivered promply. i can't say enough good things about it. we hope to be back sometime in "08"

Best deal going!!!!

You want to stay on the timeshare side. The beach is world class. The people were honest and friendly; we felt safe at all times. As far as decor is concerned, its better than the nicest hotels at the Jersey shore but its not a Marriott. I would definetly stay at here again.

I loved it and it was sooooooooooo fun!!!!!!! the water slides were awesome and Aruba is a great place to be i maen it is "One Happy Island!":) I have Been there 4 times and i cant wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
