Built during the tourism boom of the 1990's, this eight-story modern hotel is situated near the old warehouse district, and it has a modern-style compared to historic Savannah. From the expansive atrium soaring above a lobby that houses a TGI Friday's, to the sparkling pool and fitness center, to the corporate crowds that favor the hotel, the property is far from rustic, and that's the way many folks like it. Special extras include many in-room business amenities.

I really enjoyed my stay here....it is a the end of the riverstreet but that is ok..you will enjoy the walk and the scenery...looking at these reviews I would not want to stay here but from my experience I had a wonderful time and I would recommend it...AND when I checked in I was upgraded to a suite, which I really enjoyed!!! Thank you, Mr. Leo....Give it a try, I think you will enjoy...

NOT WORTH THE PRICE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/09
The room was dusty. Their were stains on the bedding and carpet. The toliet had black ring as if not cleaned. The general appearance was worn and unkept. There were lots of black marks every where in the room and threw out hotel. This Marriot is not worth $180 a night. This facility needs lots of refining to stand for Marriot's quality.

Be Careful !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/09
Someone walked into our room (WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING) and stole our purses and my husband's wallet - we woke up to a noise and found a man running out of the room - Marriot DID NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE THEFT

Good place to stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/08
Good location within walking distance and stores. River view was wonderful you could watch the cargo ships go by. Hotel staff very friendly. Did not like that in addition to the hotel rate you have to pay for parking. Also needed Internet service, this was an additional charge. Asked room service at night for an ice bag - never received it. A cup of coffee in was $6.50 per cup, coffeepot are available in the rooms. Would recommend hotel to others.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/08
My husband and I alway stay at Marriott hotels when we travel. We are reward card members. The room was not clean. There was a iron print in the middle of the floor. The curtains had something splattered across them, and the sliding glass door was very hard to operate. I have stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels but this one did not meet my satisfaction. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Stay was kind of bad
By upset customer, 08/05/08
I stayed at this hotel along with a large group of my family members for our family reunion. I called the day before check in and found out that they downgraded my room from a junior suite to a regular room with a queen bed. then upon arrival my room was not ready. The housekeeping lady just barged in the room while my girlfriend was changing. The refridgerator didnt work it was too small to hold anything worth keeping cool. The bar is waaaay over priced for the quality of the drinks. its in a nice area but i wouldnt stay there again

St. Patricks Day RIP-OFF
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/08
Cant request a room with two beds even if you reserve a room for 4. Don't have enough roll-away beds for guests that don't get 2 beds and have 4 people in room.
