Red Roof Inn Orlando South-Florida Mall, Orlando

I stayed at the Econo Lodge this past weekend and where do I begin. First of all I booked a nonsmoking room on the internet. I was given a smoking room. When I brought this to the manager's attention instead of switching the room he got a major attitude and said that I should be thankful that I got the room for that rate because he normally does it for $69 a night. He said he would spray the room so that the smoking smell would not be there, if I liked. He was so rude and nasty that I will never stay there again. Second the free wifi is a joke. I had a term paper due and called the front office several times to get the wifi key code to no avail. The wifi never worked. Next the air conditioner did not work or should I say the heater. It was pretty chilly in Orlando this past weekend and the only setting that worked on the AC was the low/high cool. We froze in that room! The hot water did not work either. The maids did not clean our rooms at all. They did not even give us fresh towels. Once again when we went to the manager about this we were met with a major attitude. I will never ever ever stay in this hotel again!

I came here on vacation and i was told by a friend about this place, so far so good, the place was clean the staff was friendly and I enjoyed my stay. I new in the past it got bad reviews but sincethe ending of the year they have improved a lot. I found my stay very relaxing and enjoyable, even the guest at the hotel was nice, they even gave me a ride to the mall and back. great place

First of all...I found this hotel online. The pics and description seemed to match what we were looking for in a week's stay. I was convinced that the cheap price was because I was given a government rate. My husband on the other hand was leary that the cheap rate was a red flag from the beginning. Needless to say, he was right!! When we got there, they didnt give us the room I had confirmation for. So we asked for the correct room. When I first opened the door, I knew we were in trouble. It smelled like a nursing home. The carpet was wet in some areas and there was this awful urine smell. My husband preceeded to wipe everything down with Clorox wipes before we brought our things in from the car, when we discovered one of the nastiest things about the experience. There was a picture hanging on the wall beside the bed that was COVERED in what was obviously boldily fluids and hairs. I was so grossed out. It looked like there had been a porn fest in there before we arrived. We tried to convince ourselves that it would be alright and that we only needed somewhere to sleep at night since we would be tired from being in the local theme parks all day. Well, if you enjoy freezing cold showers, I guess we could have slept good at night. No matter what time of day it was the water was always cold. I had to wash my hair and shave with cold water every day. Next comes the "delux continental" breakfast...LIE!! There was one jug of milk, one jug of o.j. one loaf each of white and wheat bread, a toaster and frosted flakes. THAT'S IT!!! We tried the first morning to sit in the lobby and eat cereal, until the ants crawling on the floor and on the tables started crawling on US! We went out for breakfast each day after that. I'm not sure if there was some "hourly" business going on, but there were definately car doors shutting and horns honking all night every night. And there seemed to be "deals" going on in the parking lot. I was very uncomfortable the whole time we were there. Overall, it was nasty, smelled bad, no hot water, no real breakfast, and definately not what the pictures made it seem to be. That was by far the worst hotel experience either of us have ever had.

I picked this hotel online planning a vacation for my family, it looked nice.... When we arrived we went to check out the pool and got my my first introduction to the hookers and johns prevelant on Orange Blossom. The pool by the way is half the size the web pic. displays...super photography! So I was in fear for my kids the entire stay at the hotel (I ended up eating the cost and getting a hotel on the beach.) Smoke back fed through the bathroom exhaust, The sink drain stuck in closed position, furniture ragged, drunks, yelling and car doors slamming till three a.m. wifii is weak.

I am a regular visitor to Florida.I decided to stay in this Hotel on one of my friends recomendation and belive me it was a lovely experience to live in. Everything about the place was just to good....be it the cleanliness,the rooms,the food and not to forget the staff speacially Bill and Rachel for their friendly and polite behaviour.Another person I cant forget was the Spanish looking guy.What a help he was... Overall a must stay Hotel if anyone visits Florida..Keep it up Guys Regards JJ

I went all d way 4rom Scotland to Florida. I stayed there in the last week of December. The hotel is situated on a Mind blowing Location wid breathtaking views. It was the best and the most clean hotel i hav eva been to. The staff was jus fantastic. There was a Guy there of Indian origin who gave me an exceptional service.He knew what customer service meant and i think he loves job.Another young spanish guy was a gr8 help. He showed us around and was doing his job at its best.Rest everybody was so friendly as well wid smiles on their faces all the time. Oh my God the i dont think i can even sum up the experience in this space provided. Most recommended and a must visit hotel!Cheers

I stayed with my Family Here and will be checking out tommorow. The Experience we are having is great.......! The location is great. Its opposite to Florida Mall and Mins away from Theme parks we are having Lots of fun. The Hotel Staff is so professional its like staying in a Five Star Hotel. If anyone is planning to go to Orlando for Vacation I Recomend 125%.............! Michelle

I had to this place on my honeymoon.As everyone knows this time howmuch important to married couple.Thankgod i had selected the right place.The rooms were very nice.It was very neat .They had all the facilities like ironboard internet fridge microwave all the thing.The main thing was staff. They were very coperative nature.so i would like to go and stay there. With Regards tom

Its was an easy stay. Great location, the staff was very pleasant. Everything is new and excesable. You get a ride to and from the airport in app. 5-10 min. free!! I enjoyed the stay and will be going back my next time in orlando.

My friends and I were vacationing in Orlando as a way to get away from work and school and just relax. Well, staying at this hotel was less than relaxing. The first room they put us in had a disconnected fire alarm, the room smelled like cigarettes, the complimentary shampoo was open and used, and the air conditioner was smoking. We about cried. We're college students, we don't have the money for another hotel so we had to suffer. We told them we wanted a better room and the room we were given was a little better but still horrible. Never vacation here.
