The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa, Phuket

we stayed at the royal wing room. it was really nice for 4 nights. overall ok. the staffs were not very friendly compared to other hotels at Patong. we hope the management takes note of this. we pay to stay! Our next trip we will go for another hotel.

The location is great. Walking distance to the Patong Beach and shopping areas. I dont like the rooms. The interiors are old and shabby. The electrical power points are not working. I booked three rooms and the same with all three rooms. I may consider going there just because of its location.

Most people are nice in Patong, but this hotel was to rip off. There rules are very strict, if you want to invite a girlfriend for the night you have to pay 800BHT extra on top of your hotel rent costs...about $30AUS extra per friend on top of $60 per night they charge, so make sure you take this in to account. I had a terrible time there, will not go again. The location is very bad and the only good thing is that the hotel is well presented with good breakfast. Everything else is really expensive. if you are single and would like to have girlfriends then never go to this hotel. They charge too much money and is not worth at all. Also the beach is about 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I stayed for two nights and moved to a better hotel right in font of the beach. And at that hotel they do not charge you extra to invite girlfriends. Overall review for Royal Paradise is very poor.Not recommend for singles but good for families.

I stay at The Royal Paradise Hotel in March 07. It good value hotel. on the 25th floor is Chinese restauratn (Royal kitchen . I can see around Patong beach.( It beautiful ). I stay at Royal Wing superior is big and comfortable, room wiht pool viwes not seaviews.

First of all, Phuket is magnificient. The hotel is located off the main road in the Gay district of Patong. I had my family there with me and had no problem with that area besides the loud music late into the morning with all the gay bars around. Breakfast was good with a good choice of american or asian food. Service was good, especially the massages. Make sure you get a massage by the pool. I plan on going back, and this is where I will stay.

The hotel was filthy with terrible service and uneatable food. The elevators did not work and one waited ten minutes for a three minute ride. There were ants in the bread and croisants in the dining room. The jacuzzi was with cold water. The air conditioner did not work and there was a terrible stench once you entered the hotel.

I had a very pleasent stay at the Royal Paradise in March 2005. The room was of a good size with coffee/tea making facilities. The room had a long balcony that had an excellent view of North Patong. The bathroom was a little worn but clean and the house keepers did a very good job each day. One unfortunate thing was the sky elevator and outside windows badly needed cleaning which did not create a good initial impression. It could be that they wait for the monsoon season to clean them. Breakfast each had a good selection of Western and Asian food. Each day there was a slightly different selection. The food was nice but simple with a chef on hand to cook your eggs each morning. I did not eat other meals at the hotel. The location is very good. You have a about a 5 minute walk to the main entertianment area in Patong, Bangla Rd and the Beach is just 2 or 3 minutes more. One thing about the location is that it is located in the "gay" area of Patong (Not that there's anything wrong with that). The pool is excellent with many staff on hand to make sure you have anything you require. I found all the staff friendly and helpfull. I have no problem recomending this hotel for families or someone who cannot afford some of the more expensive resorts and intend to return to this hotel next time I am in Phuket.
