La Quinta Inn Jacksonville Mandarin San Jose, Jacksonville

Room cost $79 a night. I've stayed at hotels for $39 a night that are very similar to this one. The room was clean, but very plain with not many amenities. In addition, the wireless high speed Internet in my room was not working correctly. The front desk told me the only way to fix the problem was to reset the wireless access point. Unfortunately, the wireless access point was in a guests room, and it was late at night! (Don't ask me why they chose to put the access point in a guest room.) So, in order for me to get my work done, they had to move me to a different room. It so happened the only open room was a room on the smoking floor. As soon as you got onto that level, the strong stench of smoke hits you like a fist in the face. It took me a good 30 minutes to get used to the smell before I could even think of falling asleep. The guy at the front desk was very nice about the whole situation, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. My ultimate opinion on this place is that you can get better bang for your buck at a different hotel. If this hotel cost $20-30 cheaper, it would be a decent deal.

I cannot wait to go back to the Baymont Inn! The Staff were Awesome, as was the Food and the Beautiful Rooms. If going to Jacksonville Florida. Do Not Stay Anywhere Else!

This hotel botched my parent's reservations. The hotel clerk was rude, unapologetic, and not understanding about the entire incident. Poor service. Avoid.
