Holiday Inn Mayaguez Tropical, Miradero

We just drove in from Ponce PR and decided to try another Holiday Inn. The price is right in line with other hotels on the island. The staff has been very helpful, the room is clean and comfortable. Wish they didn't have the A/C set at 60, but that can be fixed.

I hate when I see managers walking around with long faces and screaming at hotel employees. The GM Anthony Lopez should learn how to talk to employees in front of customers.

This people really know what they are doing. This Hotel has the best staff in the area, I have tried some of the Hotels in the area, but this one has the friendliest and proffesional staff, free parking, 24 hours casino and tasty restaurant. They make me feel like HOME, thats what really matters.

If you are staying in western PR, I suggest you checkin here. We spent 7 days there (12/07). The service was great. The hotel employees' english was excellent. The food at the hotel (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) was fantastic! They even have a casino! While I didn't gamble, it was nice to see the locals enjoy. They had music down at the lobby almost every night and the cost of a drink was very reasonable. The have a huge parking lot to accomodate the gambling crew, but have a section that's exclusive to hotel guests (don't forgot to ask for the parking pass). Only hotel guests can use the elevators (without a room key inserted, the elevator won't moved) -- a great security feature. The hotel is working distance from KMART, Sam's Club, Taco bell, burger king, and a well know resturant chain (I forget the name). Also free interner access!

As a business traveler, I couldn't be more pleased. I don't know where they other people who wrote reviews stayed or what their expectations were, but my stay was quiet, just the right temperature and clean. The staff went out of their way to help me. I needed some printing done and they allowed me to do it right in their office. I had very pleasant conversations with the staff coming and going. The water pressure was great, I could hardly hear the music from the casino below me (I was on the 2nd floor) and I slept comfortably in a nice bed. Internet service worked great and the fitness center was just as good or better than many I've seen in the Continental US - and at a fraction of the cost. The next time I return to PR, I will stay here.

I enjoyed that this hotel had a little bit of everything such as a restaurant, dance club and casino. Everything was nearby and yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The only thing I did not like was that when the dance club was open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday the parking space was limited and guest had to park in a section in the back. I feel the guests should be allowed to park in the front of the hotel and the other customers who are not registered should be in the back.

We had a great time at the Holiday @ Mayaguez. the place is beautiful and the people are just great!!!

This Holiday Inn needs to decide whether it is in the Entertainment or the Hospitality business. Our room was two floors above the discoteque and we could not sleep above the loud booming discoteque music that booms through the building.

At the price I paid for our vacation, including airfare, I just wanted a good night's sleep. Instead, I received the nagging sound of booming bass music and had interrupted sleep from 9P-305A. This was 6 hours I wouldn't want anyone to go through.
