Quality Hotel Downtown, Montreal

the General manager Elizabteh was so rude never stay at this hotel!! it was not clean and no helpful service. i recommened the Holiday Inn it was very nice!!

This is a good place to stay for easy access to St. Catherine Street. There are also several good restaurants on Avenue du Parc as well. If you want a soda or get the munchies late at night, the Provigo grocery store is right across the street and open until midnight. Location is everything and this place definately has it! The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I had a terrible experience there. These people promise you one thing but do something else. They simply lie. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place.

Stayed here several times. Always get great service. Super location next to the Metro (subway). Easy access to St. Catherines and shopping / night life.

My wife and I checked in on Friday the 7th of October and was given a room next to an area under construction. Althought we complained we were never relocated. That evening when we returned from an afternoon out we were met by an individual on our floor smoking marijuana. The entire floor stunk of marijuana and the individual was seen going in and out of a room on our floor. When we went to complain no one was sent to check out our complaint. We then pointed the individual out to the front desk as he proceeded to the hotel parking lot where he contiued to smoke up in a vehicle. We were given another room on another floor, however, when we got there the room was boiling hot (someone turned on the heat full blast) and the toilet was broken. At that point we checked out of the hotel. We have since asked for compesation but have been refused. I never knew a hotel would allow illegal drug use on there premises. We are persuing this matter further. By the way we ended up at Ruby Foo's. a little more expensive but well worth the difference and there only two minutes away.

Its not a three star hotel for sure...but its location and price make up for what it lacks. Right across the street is a Provigo that sells everything from alcohol to sushi. One block down is a subway line that gives you complete access to all of downtown Montreal. A 15 minute walk will take you to the heart of the bar scene on Crescent. The rooms do need some new furniture, but most of the time is spent out and about anyway. Sheets and towels are adequate, not as nice as the Hyatt but your not paying 3 times the rate. Free local calls is a plus where most hotels ding you with 1.25 per phone call. Negative is internet access is an extra charge. All in all not a bad place to stay if one gets a good rate for this hotel.
