This room was the last one to be found in all of Palm Springs that didn't cost $300+ for one night. It was pretty clean and utilitarian. The beds are pretty hard: therefore, if you have back problems you may want to avoid it. Also, after reserving the room a month before at $63 they jacked up the price to $70 upon our arrival. I didn't notice it until later when I got a chance to look at my bill. By that time, I didn't argue with it because I knew there was no other place to go. Also, as written in other reviews, the front desk are a bit snippy. But then again, what do you expect for motel located next to a truck stop?

I was tired of driving and arrived at the Red Roof Inn at 2 am. I was told there was vacancy, but the room was $75 plus tax. I asked for a government rate, because I am active duty military. He said that they did not have one, and he laughed at me. He gave me the impression that he did not believe that I was really in the military (I am female). Then he asked if I had AAA. I asked if he was serious. I replied that I didn' t need AAA, because I am active duty military and that is even better. He refused to give it to me. I would have driven off had I not been so tired. I wanted to let this guest service representative know that before I joined the military, I was a night auditor at hotels...and was much better at my job than he obviously is. The parking lot was not close to being full, and the goal of a hotel is to sell out. He needs more training.

We chose the place...because it is the only Inn/Hotel/Motel near Agua Caliente Casino..Room was fine..We wish the Check-In Staff was a little more Professional...more understanding..We have prior reservations via Yahoo Travel secured with a credit card..We were exhausted by the lengthy drive...coming from Orange County..So we arrived at about 1:30pm...We asked if we could check in...And he just blurted out.."We Don't have any rooms available right now..so come back at 3:00Pm!" ..This is without even asking if we had reservations..Of course..during our stay there we noticed many rooms empty (vacant)...!!??
