Days Inn Newport News/Oyster Point at City Center, Newport News

Poor maid service--did not get coffee supplies for 5 days I stayed, bathroom was dirty and toilet stopped up on my second day (no, no kids playing). Room was dark, even with all lights on (front ground level, couldn't really have curtains open). High speed internet was very slow; "some hot items" on the breakfast menu translates to "toast your own frozen waffle or french toast, nuke your own oatmeal"; charged for the in-room safe?!?! Location is central to alot of things, however it is a seedy part of town, and I would not have walked alone in the evening. Because I was booked through a sports travel agency, I paid 3-4 star prices for what was clearly not a 3-star hotel--pictures and verbiage on the web notwithstanding, had I paid regular price, I might have expected the lower quality.
