Baymont Inn & Suites Detroit/Romulus, Romulus

I tried to make a reservation for $59 per night at this hotel on priceline Feb 21 evening, but my order couldn't go through. I just called the hotel to try to make the booking. A lady on the phone asked me to hold, but she never came back to me in 20 mins. I called again, but this time that lady said the rate was $79 per night. I told her that she just said it was $59 per night 30 min ago. She appeared to be unhappy hearing about this and hang up the phone! She was just very rude. I will never try to come to this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights while 2 elderly members of our group flew out for a day trip to DC. We were amazed by the service and helpfulness of the staff in making our stay comfortable. We were concerned about getting the two 85 year old guys to the airport on time, their shuttle and wake up services just helped so much in easing our minds and theirs of being where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there. The cheerfulness of the staff was great!!!From the desk right on down to the staff tidying up the rooms, everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast was very nice and plentiful, all be it serve yourself, which was fine with us. Another thing that was quite amazing to us all was the quietness in the rooms considering our proximity to the airport. Once you shut the drape in the evening, you didn't hear the planes coming and going. Also the rooms themselves were quiet, you didn't hear your neighbors showering or any of the residual noise you often experience in a hotel or motel. Most of all, the place was safe, the area was safe and you could feel it. We are small town folks, so apprehension in the 'big city' is high, however, we didn't have that feeling at all staying here.

The person at the desk was helpful and the gave us ideas on what was best for our needs. It was easy with the shuttle and the locked area nearby for our car. Lobby was nice and very clean. Dident know what to expect.
