Motel 6 Santa Barbara-Carpinteria South, Carpinteria

I liked the new decor, however, the bed was on a platform (no box springs) and it had the hardest mattress that I have seen in a long time. You might as well have put your pillow on the floor and slept there. The extremely hard bed is a dealbreaker for me!

very reasonable. great for enroute night. Room had neccessities. Not paying a lot extra for foo foo you dont need for one night anyhow. Only proble was lousy tv channels and no alarm clock

Jan. 19-20, 2008, stayed one night for a family reunion in Santa Barbara. Office staff were nice, room was clean (mattress is hard), location is close to the highway, a Starbucks, several stores, and restaurants. For a quick, inexpensive option, I'd stay here again. For more than one night, I'd go to the Holiday Inn Express down the street only because of the hard mattress at Motel 6. (Or, I'll bring a Memory Foam pad next time.) I recommend this Motel 6 for a quick trip.

We were travelling to LA and Carpinteria was a good spot to stop. 2adults children 14F -12M Motel was, for the price OK. Rooms clean but very basic this is of course a budget Motel.You could get to the beach and other shops very easily. I would consider another stop over stay.
