La Quinta Inn Chicago Willowbrook, Darien

From the front desk employees/housekeepers and the breakfast bar employees--all very nice! Our rooms where clean and comfortable. The price a very good value. We have stayed in many "upscale" hotels in the area and will return to this property.

Dislikes: 1) TV remote did not have batteries. Front desk did not have batteries and said they would discount our bill. No discount was shown on the bill - UPDATE - when the charge was deducted from my bank account there was a discount of 10% given. 2) When reservations were made we let them know that we would not be arriving until after midnight. Asked twice if this would be a problem and was told no. When arrived after midnight the front desk said that we were lucky they didn't charge us another day for arriving so late, and that we were lucky they had not closed the books. 3) Second double bed appeared to have "used" linen. It was bunched up and wrinkled. 4) No convenient vending machines. Likes: 1) Less expensive hotel for that area. 2) Convenient location.
