Avenue Inn, Fort Wayne

It was very clean and nice staff. Beds were firm and comfortable. The whole floor and especially the room smelled like an ashtray. Now our bags and clothes small like it to. It says it's a smoke free hotel and there are signs that says there is a $50 fine for smoking in the room, so they just smoke in the halls and the smell wafts into the rooms under the door. Needs remodeling and updating. Carpets are in need of replacing but they seem to do a good job of keeping them clean as possible. Exterior needs some work too. Breakfast was average. It is close to a really nice mall and lots of choices for meals. Ok for the price.

This was our first stay here and probably will be the last even though everything was perfect - except for what happened to our car. After returning from a walk, we went over to the car and found that it had been scratched from front to back on the right side. We were outraged and disgusted, especially when were were told that Baymont Inn is not responsible. We will only book at places that have security cameras not only inside but also in the parking lot. I wish Baymont Inn would take responsibility and pay the bill to have my car repaired. Then we would continue to do business with them...L & M from Sheboygan, WI
