Stroudsmoor Country Inn, Stroudsburg

I took two of my sons for 2 nights in the winter of 2008. Excellent generous breakfast, even accommodated one of my picky eaters request. The cabin room was very clean and pretty. We woke up to an unexpected blizzard which accentuated the places beauty. The inn was maintaining the snow covered grounds very early so getting out wasnt a problem. The staff was very nice. The pool was clean. It took a phone call to get some extra towels for the pool. Couldve used more towels. We ran back wet and cold to our cabins room! Couldve used some hair dryers in the pool bathroom. All in all though Staying here was memorable and I hope to go back this year. Great place to make a memory!

We stayed at the Stroudsmoor for a friends wedding and the banquet hall was beautiful. Food at the reception was very average, the bar closed for 1.5 hours during dinner and an hour before the reception ended. Room was $270 a night and had: No HBO No DVD player No room service No on demand movies Breakfast Buffet was excellent, I left a $10 tip on the table for breakfast and upon checkout the front desk added a gratatuity charge because we had our 2 children with us. Guest services was slow and not very responsive to any of our requests. Rooms were way over priced for what we recieved. Outdoor pool was under a canopy of trees and very cold. Indoor pool and other amenities closed at 9:00pm. Not very thrilled with my stay.
