Watch Out - they don't honor their best rate guarantee.
By Hanes, 05/18/08
DON'T LISTEN TO THE BEST RATE GUARANTEE ON THEIR WEBSITE! I saw on their website that if you find a better deal than theirs on another site that they will match the better rate, plus take off an additional 15%. The site said it would let you know if you got the guarantee within two days, so I figured if it didn't work for some reason, I would still have time to cancel and book through the lower rate site. I found a better deal on another travel site and submitted the information to get the best rate guarantee. I didn't hear back from them within the two days like they promised, and only after I checked out was I told that my best rate guarantee submission was declined because the other website had a different cancellation policy than their website. Nowhere on their website did it say that the cancellation policy had to be exactly the same. I talked with the general manager and asked him what competitor website had the exact same cancellation conditions, and he could not even think of one, so it seems that it is virtually impossible to take advantage of their "best rate guarantee". As far as the hotel goes, the location was the best part about it. It was just around the corner from Times Square and all of the Broadway shows. Also, the room where we stayed was nice, clean and had a modern feel to it. However, the customer service was below par for a 3 or 4 star hotel. The bell men just kind of stood around, and the concierge was hardly at his desk and was usually just standing talking to the bell men. Overall I will not be staying there again. I have stayed at the Hilton that is closer to Rockefeller Center, and it was very nice and a little less expensive. I would recommend it over the Millennium Broadway anytime.

SO and SO
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/07
I arrived and there was a long queue to checkin. Staff seemed extremely stressed out and overworked. I felt that they were doing us a favor to help us. Even bellman was lousy and was yelling at everyone. After waiting 30 minutes to checkin. We had to wait another 2 hours to get our room keys and had to queue again for another 15 minutes. The room was ok nothing to write home about. The Location was great, it is right in the middle of everything. Thats why I think the staff didnt care, because I think they know they are in a great location. Room was not worth 479 dollars. All in all Newyork is wonderful and I didnt let the incident at the hotel ruin my weekend. I must say that the next day the staff was nicer and everyone was calmer... I would stay there again if the price was cheaper and now I know what to expect from the staff. Bedding was awful, no nice comforter or duvet just a plain old bed cover.

Just ordinary
By lisa b, 09/01/07
Location is nice; hotel lobby is dark and simple. Rooms are just adequate, needs updating. Definitely needs more comfortable bedding. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Bedding not like most 4 star hotels one sheet and a thin bedspread is the extent of the bedding...Room small. Bath products great. Carpets stained, wallpaper scratched and marked up. If you get a good cheap rate, stay here. I took the advice of another reviewer and went to Virgils restaurant across the street from the hotel, my meal there was the best part of my experience staying at the hotel. Close to the theatre district and in the middle of Times Square.

Good price for Times Square
By Maurice, 07/15/07
I stayed in a room for $199 per night and it was definitely worth it. You can't beat that price for a hotel in the middle of the capitol of the world. It is literally 2 blocks to 42 St and right on the corner is Times Square. The room was clean and had a nice view. The staff were obviously trained to be very friendly. The chambermaid, cleaners, and maintenance people all greeted us when entering and departing elevators together and passing in the hallways. The 4th floor conference centers were recently updated and look great. Prices for food and room service are high, but that comes with any hotel. WATCH OUT for the mini-bar in the room!!! I opened the refrigerator, which was packed with items. I took some out to look at them, then put them back without drinking them. The next thing I know, I was charged $30.00. I found out there is a sensor in the refrigerator and if you remove anything, it charges your account automatically. BAD IDEA! There should be a human checking what you drank, not a computer. Anyway, when checking out, the charge was removed without hesitation by the staff. Overall, a great hotel at a great price in a great location.

Excellent location!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
This is a great hotel if you want to stay in the heart of Times Square. Our plane arrived prior to check-in and they held our bags in a secure room while we checked out the city. I've read a lot of reviews that stated the rooms were "small". I have to disagree, my wife, son and I were comfortable with our 2 double beds. Besides your in NYC in the middle of Times Square, why do you want to sit in your hotel for any length of time other than to sleep and changes clothes?! The staff was great and the room was clean. The workout room was OK, but it's what you would expect in a hotel (about 3 treadmills, some free weights and some excercise machines). I would definately stay here again, especially if I want to be in the middle of Times Square or if I want to catch a play.

Fantastic experience
By David, 02/16/07
I had truly extraordinary service at the Millennium Broadway: (1) I had a last-minute change-of-plans and they didn't charge me for an extra night; (2) I had some dry cleaning that I had to leave when I departed quickly -- they fedex'd it to me and it actually beat me home. Everyone I met there was exceedingly helpful. Just a wonderful experience. I'd stay there again even if it wasn't a bargain (which it is!). Crazy good beds, too.

Great Hotel! Great City!
By Eddy L, 02/02/07
We loved everything about this hotel. I had never been to NY. I always heard the rooms were small in all of the hotels. Our room was big. We had a king size bed,2 leather sofa chairs, a desk, 2 night stands and a dresser w/an lcd tv and we still had lots of space to wander around in our room. We had a gorgeous view of Time Square on the 43rd floor. The room was really modern and the bathroom very clean. I give it 2 thumbs up! Great service too. Everyone was very courteous. We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone else!

Location, Location, Location and Service! The location was to die for. About 5 steps and into Time Square. Service was great. The room could have been cleaned a little better.
