Nice, Fun, Relaxing! Find an excuse to go!

We were renovating our home and were looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights. Since we found that a decent bed was expensive anyhow, we decided to go all the way and find a nice local place. I'm not one for the city and all, so Hilton Short Hills made for a good candidate. It didnt involve the traffic and noise and still had the 4 stars of a NYC hotel.
It turned out pretty much a vacation more than a temp. My husband and I decided not to go to work and enjoy the beauty of the place. Though the place hosts many business meetings and is home to travelers of work, it still magically retains the luxury and company you'll find elsewhere. The bar at night was full of chat and the pool wasn't deserted. There were no kids on site, but the lounges were very alive. Theres a spa on site thats open for guests as well as spa members, and an indoor and outdoor pool. I was disappointed that there were no couples messages but otherwise a true pleasure. As for the rooms, they were clean and tasty, with granite counters in the bathrooms but otherwise nothing really fancy. A great plus for me was the kosher restaurant in the area. Those who observe kosher know what living from canned tuna means.
