Americas Best Value Inn, Clearwater Beach

Don't go........ my son and I were up all night with something biting us in the BEDS. After paying $158 a night was did not sleep and ending up checking out at 5am..... room was old and not very clean. Refrigerator in room did not close. We made a big mistake...just wanted a beach day with my son and it turned into a nightmare.

I we had not arrived at midnight and couldn't see the place very well, we would have ran back out. The furniture and decor is from the 70's complete with peeling wallpaper and filthy furniture. The bathroom was so dark you couldn't see in there (I think that was probably best), shower curtain falling down, towels dingy and stinky. The door didn't shut quite right, so we weren't really sure if it was secure or not. The rooms stink and the staff is rude and unhelpful. I would recommend that the health department make a visit there. We moved down to the EconoLodge, and for $20 more a night, got an excellent room right on the beach!

It is a good value. Great view & I have been several times. For the price you can't beat it , I;s go again. Yes needs a face lift but so do alot of places...

The staff was rude. Our room was supposed to have a microwave and refrigerator, but there was no microwave and they refused to put one in the room. The room was also dirty. Do not stay here.

Great location, good service, at an affordable price. It's not the Ritz but it's a decent hotel. I'm going again this summer.

This past Memorial weekend I had planned a family getaway in Clearwater. We rented a hotel room at the Days Inn, which is a reputable hotel franchise. When we got to the hotel we were shocked to see where we were staying. It was horrible and we immediately set out to find another hotel to stay in. The only affordable hotel we could find was the SpyGlass Motel. The prices were decent and the hotel didn't look half bad either. Granted it is not a luxury hotel but we didn't pay a luxuary hotel price either. It was a good hotel for the price we paid. The rooms were decent and yes some of the furniture was a bit outdated but we made the best of it. The service we received from the employees there was outstanding. They have three pools and one is heated. The hotel was literally across the street from the beach, it was such a convenience. I would definitely go back there. It's a good hotel for people that are on a budget.

The place was in big time need of remodeling. My parents stayed at his hotel in the early 80's and I believe it was the same furniture and linens. The bathroom towels were disgusting and dingy. I purchased my own towels because the hotel's were funky looking. The room was smelly and dark. The beds were lumpy and very uncomfortable. The bed linens ....yuck. The sofa was dirty and smelled. The bathroom was dark complete with mold and mildew smells. The kitchen was not much to speak of. I bought my own paper plates,cups and plastic ware. I saw pictures of the hotel on the internet and the pictures I saw did not look like the room I stayed in. The only plus was the awesome view from our balcony and the front desk staff was very pleasant. I definately will not return. I paid less for a hotel in Hawaii and the room was a hundred times better.

This place was very very disgusting. There were holes in the walls, dirt all over the bed spreads, the couch was covered with a blanket for who knows what reasons, the bath tub was all rusty, the "kitchen" area was a total joke. We looked on their website and it looked all nice and everything but when we walked in, it seriously freaked us out. We didnt want to touch anything or sit anywhere. There was also a very gross odor in the air; probably from all the people in the hallways smoking marijuana. With all of this we promptly checked out. NEVER stay there! It's a health hazard. I can't emphasize how terrible the rooms and the whole facility was. Not even worth the price they're asking for one night.
