Hard Rock Hotel Cancun All-Inclusive, Zona Hotelera

the hotel is pretty nice and it's at a great location convienent to everything. the food wasn't really good, basically all the restraunts taste the same, and the same thing was served every night at the buffet. the worst part of this hotel is the serivce. when you go to mexico you kinda expect hospitality and great service. well, don't look here. the staff is rude and not very helpful. can't really even understand most of them. also all the linens in the room really smells due to all the humidity. but even when you request to have them change daily they still smell or maybe they didn't really change them. the only part of the resort that is actually worth considering is the beautiful beach. don't bother looking into the moon palace if you want a great beach, cause the beach there is absolutely disgusting. i will definetely return to cancun, but not to the cancun palace.

My husband and I love Mexico. Every year this is our get away destination. It's either Cabo or Cancun. This year we went with my family and stayed at Cancun Palace for 4 nights. This is NOT a 4 star all-inclusive resort people! It was too little too late once we get there. The resort is not well kept. While we ate the air condition vents leaked liquid onto our plates. The rooms were okay, but the food was horrific! The "fine" Italian Restaurant was worst than school lunches....maybe school lunch are better. I ordered a filet mignon(medium-rare) served with eggplant parmesana. I ended up with an over cooked chewy piece of meat with a stemed piece of eggplant with bits of sprinkled cheese on it! My husband's penne had running water and tasted awful. After a full day of repeated bad food. We thought and hoped that breakfast could not be so bad. How can eggs be messed up?!! Wrong. The juices were not fresh, the selections were limited, and the omlette mushrooms came from cans. The only that was edible were the guacamole and pico de gallo, but the tortilla chips was stale! On top of all that my brother-in-law got food poisoning from the cerviche. For the past 6 years of going on holiday in Mexico have I ever been soooooo disappointed. Do not come to Cancun Palace unless you are on a diet......even their ketchup and Ranch dressing was wrong. LUVMEXICO

I went with my wife and 3 boys aged 8,12,13. We got the family delux room which was two rooms connected. We had a wonderful view of the roof of the lagoon side of the resort. We didn't care about the view too much though since we wouldn't be in the room very much. I hadf heard stories of great service here but after experiencing the Cancun palace I believe those reviews were written by the staff. I had great service 1 time during my entire week. Most of the time I had to go track down a waiter for a refill. The food was HORRIBLE!!!!! The steaks were the only edible ting there. For crying out loud they didnt have any mexican food on the buffets, and what they did have was poorly prepared and seemed old(even when we were the first people there) We wound up eating away from the resort 3 nights. The drinks were sooooo watered down that it took me 2 days to get a buzz and then it was only after i switched to beer. I wanted to leave the first night there. The rooms were so loud and you could here everything that happened in the hall. For christs sake do something to soundproof the rooms. I got pissed and stormed into the hall to tell someone to shut up but discovered that they were only speaking normally. Then I noticed that there was light coming in all around my door. Between groups of drunks stumbling in at all hours of the night we may have gotten 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep. The kids room was supposed to be stocked with sodas etc. Imagine my surprise when I went into their room and found it stocked with beer, vodka, rum etc.. The kid friendly snack was a bag of gummy bears and oreo cookies. (which they never restocked). The beach was very nice. The waves were pretty big though so be prepared if you have little ones. The pool was HOT. I don't know what if anything that can be done about that but it was like walking into a bathtub. I would not want to be there in August. To sum it up it seemed like they went out of their way to give you the cheapest product available. At first I was more understanding because it was "free" Then I thought about how much I was paying for all of this "free"inferior product and the math didnt work. I would have been better off getting a room somewhere and paying for everything as i went. At least I would have gotten what i payed for and what I wanted.

The food - average at best. The location, excellent becuase it is near the dive boats and I learned to dive and was certified by the in-house scuba master (who is provided by an outside company). The drinks included in the plan were terrific - but only if you order frozen fruit type drinks - the alcohol content is 1/2 of that in the states so don't expect to even get a buzz - I never did and I am not a regular drinker and I had 4 - 6 frozen drinks a day - it might as well have had no alcohol. Overall - it was just ok and the food was mostly disappointing - Breakfast was good - lunch and dinners below average at best. If you want an all inclusive - try the sister property the Moon palace - much better foos, though its location sucks if you want to dive.

We absolutely loved everything about this place. The staff was excellent and always provided great entertainment. Food was wonderful in the nicer resturant. The buffet resturant could have used more variety, but I guess thats why there are so many palaces in Cancun so you can go to the different resorts to get your fill on all types of ethnic cusines. The Hotel was very clean as were the pools. The Honeymoon package was nice. You recieved a gift basket with wine your first day there and mid-way through the week we recieved another one, although I think this was a mistake. They also prepare a special dinner for you with your names on the menus that you can keep. All in all this was a outstanding trip. We are actually going back this year with my parents and are really looking forward to it. I would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to have a marvelous time.

The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. Free entertainment nightly either around the pool or in the bar depending on the weather. The food was good to excellent at all of the three restaurants. We went with the "All inclusive" program and never regreted it. Our room had a large zacuzzi and a beautiful view.

This was my 6th stay at the Cancun Palace. I have tried 2 other hotels in Cancun and all I can say is I will not try another hotel again - just another Palace Resort. The service in the BEST - everyone that works there is extremly helpful and happy to do so! Everyone from the bartenders, waiters, entertainment, maintenance, cleaning, etc.. they are happy people and definitely try to make your vacation more enjoyable. The food is great - I am a very picky eater and still manage to find chicken and steaks on the grill, different fish every night, plenty of fresh fruit with every meal, great watermelon juice! The hotel is very clean at all times. The hotel is also great because it can be both relaxing or crazy fun! I bring along my mom and a friend of her's (they are in their 50's) and they have a great time at the pool with the activities, then in the lobby for the nightly activity or show. It is a great family hotel and also a great singles hotel. Not too many kids. A nice balance! Plenty of bars & restuarants. I love the Cancun Palace and I will continue to vacation there and I will continue to recommend it to others planning trips to Cancun. A Very satisfied customer!!

We went to Cancun for our honeymoon in September 2003. I am not the beach/ocean kinda girl, but I fell in love with Cancun. Cancun Palace is beautiful. The staff is always friendly and pleasant. The restaurants offer a great variety of foods and the entertainment is very nice indeed! The rooms are fantastic! We had ocean view with a jacuzzi tub and I felt like a princess! Matter of fact, we liked it so much, we are going back there October 2005!

We just got back from here 3 days ago and everything about this hotel is wonderful. A+++++++

I think this hotel gives you everything you need under one roof and the fact that the all-inclusive also has great food and accessibility to all Palace Resorts is huge. MY room had a jacuzzi on the balcony. Couldn't ask for more! Swim-up bar was key!
