Great rooms, great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/22/10
I have been there for two ladies retreats and cant wait to go back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms were great. We had snacks catered on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday morning and it was all tasty. This is a great place for large group functions. The staff makes the planning easy. I recommend this hotel with 5 stars.

I am Going Back Soon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/1/08
Relaxing very clean centrally located. The only other place I have stayed that ranked the same in my book was the Sheraton in Downtown Atlanta.

My husband and I stayed here for a getaway. The staff was wonderful and the beds were so comfy! We'd definitely stay here again.

Do Not Bring Your Computer!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/3/07
Room was fantastic. On-site bar/restaurant was fun and reasonable. Bed was very comfortable and the people were nice... NOW, the computer service, plainly said, stinks. I needed a good connection for work/family related business and the "wi fi" was totally worthless. I know computers / systems and I can say their set-up is terrible. The front desk will quickly direct you to a "free" 888 number for help. They did this so quickly I can tell they're used to this. Anyway, the 888 guy, "Bob" or more likely "Habib" is of no help and they keep redirecting you. I got fed up and left a day early due to this. Otherwise, the room and the rest of the place is very good. Needs some updates here and there but it's good. Just don't come there thinking the computer service is good.. at least it was not for me.

One of the better places in town right now.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/07
We moved from another hotel to the Double Tree when the other hotel was a disappointment. The Double Tree was a step up. The room was nice. Very good bedding, sheets etc. Comfortable. The room was clean. We had a refrigerator and coffee maker. There was a comfortable chair and ottoman in the room as well. Towels were plush and soft. The indoor outdoor pool was clean. Workout room was small but adequate with 3 cardio machines and a TV. No weights. A business center with 2 computers was heavily used. Halls were clean. We did not eat any meals at the hotel.

Not Really Consistent with Other Doubletree Experiences
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/18/07
2/17/07: The room accommodations were decent enough (same nice bedding as other Doubletrees). Pool was very nice. Bathroom OK enough (tub small). The wireless internet connection was very tentative. The real disappointment was the food. We had dinners, breakfasts and even desserts and all were substandard. If you like satisfying and tasteful food, save your money and eat at one of the nearby restaurants. Even some of the things we thought they couldn't mess up like an omlette was not made with real eggs. One night, to make up for a completely bland and tasteless dinner we ordered one of their messy sundaes. It was all chocolate syrup and cookie (hardly any ice cream - just awful). Again, do yourself a favor and don't spend your valuable money on their food.

best pool ever!
By yemayya, 4/25/06
the pool is the best feature ... indoor/outdoor (swim under a wall) and heated! the warm cookies on the way up from the pool are nice too. no fridge or microwave (extra $$) in the rooms but that is becoming par for the course. wireless access in rooms was iffy ...

Nice stay, would go back.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/05
This Doubletree has the feel of a former Holiday Inn that's had the rooms nicely refurbished. The lobby was nice except for cloudy old picture windows. The rooms are OK size, with the only extra being a small fridge. The "executive" floor give you access to the consierge room which is open on the weekdays. No great shakes there, it has just has a small continental breakfast selection. Excellent bed and lighting in rooms. No DVD or VCR in rooms. The resturant is sport's themed and is quite smokey, even in the non-smoking section. Lot's of other resturant options nearby. Location is 10 - 15 minutes from anywhere in Murfreesboro.
