La Quinta Inn and Suites Columbia, Columbia

I am a single woman and I will stay here again. The price was reasonable. The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable. Has internet. I felt safe. No frills, but this place had everything I needed for a few nights. The Continental Breakfast was decent and included in the price.

The owners were very friendly. It was quiet. The food was very tasty. It's one of the least expensive B&Bs in the area too. Stay here while you can! The owners are selling.

The hotel staff was very pleasant. It only went downhill from there. The elevator did'nt work when we got there. A fire broke out at 12:15 am and no fire alarms & no smoke detectors were going off until we pulled it to notify everyone else in the hotel. The elevator was now working in the fire. No staff communicated with us on what was going on so we communicated with the fire department. We were finally let back in and got no sleep. The hotel is by a freeway and it was so loud. The beds are hard. The bathroom was nasty, the sheets and towels had stains on them. This hotel literally needs to be condemned. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. The elevator was not working when we left so the staff had to carry our stuff down 3 flights of stairs. Great staff, just working for wrong hotel. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone unless you want smoked waffels the next morning.
