They tried to gouge me
I never even stayed here . I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Ann Arbor last week, but while I was there I noticed several other hotels, including the Fairfield Inn. I was going to call three hotels: Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, and Holiday Inn Express, all in the same area.
Fairfield Inn was my first call, and they informed me that it was football weekend, and the room rate would be over $200. I told them they shouldn't gouge like that and they said it was supply and demand. Well, I am going to stop in there tomorrow and rub it in their nose that they arent sold out, because even though its football weekend, we are playing Michigan State, which is about 30 miles away!
By attempting to gouge me for this one night, they have lost my business for the rest of my life! (Unless I have absolutely no other choice).
Way to go corporate headquarters! Way to give your managers the flexibility to do what is right and necessary to keep the customer satisfied! I stayed 100 yards down the road last sunday night, and I called them and they said "no problem, we can still give you the government rate". Now where would YOU CALL next time you are going to Ann Arbor? And the time after that? AND the time after that??? LOL Not here!
