Radcliff Inn, Radcliff

On the secondt day of our stay, when we returned for the night to our room, it had not been cleaned, bed was unmade, no clean towels, no new coffee, trash had not been emptied. When we went to the desk to complain, we were told the manager would contact us as we were checking out the next morning. The manager refused to talk w/us after numerous emails, would not give us the owner's name so we could contact him and after we disputed the charge on our credit card, would do nothing about it (like giving us a reduction) and basically refused to acknowledge our complaint. The front desk staff made my husband feel like he was bothering him when he went to get clean towels and cups for us. The place stunk of cigarette smoke, the hallways were dirty and I would never stay in that place again when I visit my family. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the people are rude and the staff is incompetent.

The pictures on their website must have been taken when it first opened. The carpet was so dirty my feet were black after one trip across (it felt so gooey I knew something was wrong). I was told when I booked my room by phone that they had free high-speed internet - not free! Woke up the next morning to ROACHES crawling on my daughter's bed, on the wall and on the nightstand. Manager was incredibly rude and offered $5 off for the roaches. After a MALE family member spoke to him, we got a little more off, but not enough and no apology. The breakfast was a joke, the windows do not stay open (old wood windows that are falling apart). Pay more than $10 and you are overpaying for this hotel!

The staff at the Radcliff was very friendly. I went one weekend with my three kids to visit my husband at Ft. Knox. The Owner could see that I had my hands full and helped me bring my bags in to my room. The pool area was very clean. I will be going back in a few weeks. The only dislike was only 2 out of 6 arcade games were working, so my three yr old and 14 yr old, were disappointed.

I am disabled, so require an accessable room. We had made reservations at another property, but upon arrival, after supper, were informed that the room had already been given out that morning. This required a frantic search for accomadations. The third call was to the "Radcliff Inn" (just because of its location in the phone book) and the person was extremely helpful, not only did they have an accessable room available, but she gave directions to the hotel, even helping when we got lost (via cell phone). The room was quiet, and as accessable as most rooms in a property of this age. Throughout our stay, the staff was very helpful, and my discussion with the manager on checkout lleft me with a feeling that I will return. My son lives in Radcliff and I cannot get into their apartment, so must make other arrangements; they will be here in the future!
