Super 8, Clive

I stay at a lot of Super 8's everywhere because I travel alot and I work at a Super 8 so I get an employee discount at any Super 8. The one I work at is amazing as well, but very vintage. The one here in Clive is soo nice. The staff is great, they seem to take a real interest in you, personally. They asked me why I was staying there, what town my Super 8 was in, how I was enjoying my stay, if I needed any directions to any place... It just exceeded my expectations, because this Super 8 and the one I work at have been the only ones to really seem like a nicer hotel. Being honest, Super 8's are generally more of an economical choice. This one was not only cheap but like I said, amazing! Super clean, friendly staff and management, and newly renovated!! The decor is all very contemporary, very classy!! Best yet, there is an Applebees right next to the hotel! Other great restaurants in the area as well!! I always recommend this hotel to anyone that has to go to Des Moines for anything, it's really not a long drive to downtown Des Moines, on the opposite side, it's definitely worth the drive! The hotel is not new, so it shows normal signs/blemishes of use. So if you are fixated on having NEW, then this hotel is not for you. However, the helps desk staff (Dee) was by far the most friendly I have dealt with in years....maybe ever. The continental breakfast was great. The room/hotel was very clean. It was quiet. It was in a nice, central location, yet out of the hustle and bustle a little bit. Just a great hotel room for the money! And, EVERYONE working there spoke PERFECT english!!! Love it!!! Highly recommended if you need a cost-effective, nice play to call home for a night or two. Brad

While searching hotels one reviewer had praised Heartland staff for going above and beyond the call of duty. I was inspired. En route to a funeral from an All State concert we needed to stash an upright bass for a few days, and they let us. The location was perfect, the price was right, breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Who would expect all that for less than $100 a night?
