this place not only smells bad but i bet its a brothel too. the local vice squad should train their officers here.

Me and my friends booked 2 rooms for graduation. My friend reserved 1 room and I reserved the other. When we got our credit card bill I was charged for both rooms and my friend was also charged on the room. Of course I called to clear up the matter. They claimed that they cannot find my friend's reservation in their system and they booked me a new room. So I have to pay for the that room too. If they don't have my friend in the system, how come her bill said that it was paid to Super 8 motel!! I told the manager and owner that we showed the clerk the reservation and he proceeded with our reservation. He NEVER said that he was making us a new reservation!! I even faxed my friend's bill and explained that I do not have a problem paying for my 2 rooms but we should not pay for another room that we never have. They kept coming up with excuses and they said they want to look at the camera to verify that we showed the desk clerk our reservation. I was very upset because I was trying to resolve this cordially. This has been ongoing for more than 2 weeks. I was told that the owner was going to call me to resolve the matter finally. I called them back and they said the owner is not there and I would have to talk to the manager again. I have been talking to these people till I am blue in my face. I cannot understand how they can excuse themselves from this egregious business practice. It does not need an Einstein to clear this matter up. The management just wants to keep the money that does not belong to them. They still do not want to give either me or my friend a refund until now.

We stayed at the Super 8 in Gainesville last May during our son's graduation. We loved the service and the cleanliness of the rooms. The morning breakfast was also great! And best of all, it was about 2 minutes away from the graduation venue. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The ladies at the front desk was very polite and got all of us in the lobby assigned to rooms really fast and we were all very happy with the service. It was really clean not at all like the Travel Lodge we stayed at during preview at the college.It did have a strange smell on the third floor. My son decided it was from something someone might have put in the microwave. There is a microwave and frig in all the rooms which surprised me. Most places charge extra for that convenience.

We liked this hotel a lot. The staff was very friendly. We were really impressed with the breakfast, we didnt expect much, but we enjoyed the fresh hot waffles. We have stayed at other hotels in Gainesville in the past but we found the Super 8 to be the best value. We will stay there again during graduation time.

The hotel had very nice service, room was clean and comfortable and it's located right off the highway. We went there to drop off our daughter at UF and stayed there for 3 nights. We were please with the hotel and are going to stay there again when we go see her.
