Where do I begin? First of all, the blankets on the bed had holes in them and were stained. The bathroom had a dirty, used washcloth hanging on the shower curtain. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner bottles were used, and half full. The light switches in the room turned off every light in the room simultaneously, including the outlet with the alarm clock plugged in. There was no way to turn off the lights AND keep the alarm clock on. Whoever did the wiring in this room needs to go back to an electrician school and learn the basics. I have stayed in other Super 8 hotels before that were great and I guess I expected more. We will definitely NOT be going back.

I checked in late around 2 am om a thursday and was greeted by the nicest desk clerk I have ever dealt with, his name was James, and he was very well versed and professional, and very knowledgable in the surrounding area, restaraunts and theme Parks, I asked how to get to the water park in Chula Vista, not only did he tell me, he even went to mapquest and printed out the directions and even gave me alternate ones to, I have never had hotel clerk do that for me, great job James, I will be back to your place every time I come to San Diego

I never travel in the San Diego area but this was actually very easy to find. The service was awesome, super friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and cozy. You really can't ask for more especially with the great rate that we paid for the room. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area in the future.

We were in town for 2 days for dog show. I was very specific when calling for reservations that I was traveling with dogs and needed a hotel that excepted them. Thier advertisement advises they except animals, they don't anymore. When we arrived at 9:00Pm the front desk person almost didn't give us the room because we had dogs. He finally grudingley allowed us to stay, mummbling about needing to hire special people to clean the room after we left. Except for that incident, the room was big, clean, quiet and in great repair for an older hotel. It is not real close to restaurants, so expect to drive 5-10 mins away for food and shopping. Also don't look for Travelodge, thier sign now reads Rodeway Inn. Because we travel with dogs I won't be staying again. If I don't have the dogs this is a good economy hotel.

my husband and i both like this hotel. whenever we call they make room for us somehow even when they are booked up. good service,clean and good location
