Awesome surprise

This place saved our mid-week travel experience. Coming in from San Francisco, as we left or ran away from the beggars ambiance on every corner in Union Square. Starbucks must have a marketing agreement with these guys, as they always seem to have the white Starbucks cups while asking for handouts in SF....anyway. We went to our favorite place Napa. No reservations, just sought out places to stay, went into The Elm, Best Western...they asked for $140/nite, and not knowing the rates well, we kept looking...30 min of rambling around I returned, my wife got the room at the Elm for $129/nite. Wow nice break....she can do that sometimes...lol
Mid week luck i suppose. But the added feature was this place was great more like an Inn, than a Best Western Hotel, decor, rooms, fireplace in lobby, breakfast- kindliness of staff, and recommemded one of the best Italian Restaurants ever- Tuscany's which was a short ride away. Comfortable bed, easy unrestricted internet access. We will not find this price again...but we wont stay anywhere else, would gladly pay the $200/nite in the future...close freeway access and off to the wineries. I go to Napa at least twice a year and have been in Calistoga Spa's, and numerous locations and hotels...this place was the best. Seasonal decor was nice. Recommend a room near the lobby 2nd floor.
