Good value, nice small motel

My family stayed here for our San Diego vacation and we were very happy with the accomodation. We are a family of five so we took a room with separate bedroom and living areas. The rooms were adequate, and I had a full (but small kitchen) to cook supper in each night. The continental breakfast was nice (kids loved the waffle makers) but the eating area is small - we carried our food back to the room to eat. Just remember if you have a family my size or larger the kitchen comes with service for four. We simply bought a set of cheap dishes and tableware ($10 total) so there was enough for everyone, and extra for serving plates.
It is easy to get to, and there is a grocery store a block east, a pharmacy a block west, and a hospital 3 highway exits away. I had to utilize all of these (the joy of travelling with 3 very active children) and had no problem getting around the area.
If you need to soak after a long day of tramping around SeaWorld or the zoo, you'll need to take a hot bath because there is a nice pool, but no hot tub. At the pool there is also a small nice grassy area for little kids to play on, and a BBQ for the hotel guests to use so they can cook out by the pool.
Our room was quiet and clean. No rooms face the road so there is really no road noise to speak of. The Front Desk staff was very helpful. If you are on a budget this would be the place to stay.
