Front Desk Staff is Very Stupid!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/4/10
We stayed there and reserved a block of rooms far in advance and were very dissatified to say the least. Dont ever try to plan an event that requires reserving room because the front desk staff does not know what they are doing! We had to call and go in there serveral times before they said they had our reservations figured out but when anyone tried to book a room under the reservation, they acted like they had no idea what they were talking about. I think the whole front desk staff suffers from long term memory loss! We also got charged 3 times for 1 room! Anyway, just be careful when booking reservations and double check credit card bills after you check out because you may get there and they will have no record of your reservation or have it totally messed up and not know how to work a credit card machine. Otherwise, the rooms were clean and they hotel was decent.

Only place to stay on Kodiak
By Kdogg, 8/10/07
Great hotel for Kodiak. Way better than the Comfort Inn (Old Buskin River Inn). Clean and conveniant. Restraunt is Great. Excellant Halibut with great view of the harbor. The only better value is the Guest House on the base but if you have to stay off base, this is where you want to lay your head down.

The best part of this hotel is it's employees!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/19/06
The staff at this hotel will bend over backwards for you. The restaurant is world class. This chef can't be beat. This is some of the best seafood I have ever had! don't forget to try the seafood chowder! I like to call the Kodiak Inn my home away from home.

I was raised in Kodiak and would not like to think of staying anywhere but the Kodiak Inn or Western Kodiak Inn as they call it now. I used the dining room lots of times when I lived there and was always pleased. When I return this is my choice of places to stay. Nancy Cook

Best in Town
By AK Wanderer, 10/1/05
The Best Western Kodiak offers a reasonable rate and the best of the hotel amenities in town. They have internet access, a great restaurant / bar, and an awesome location.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/11/05
i really thought the restaurant was good. did not like the smell of kerosene that seemed to be in hallways. if you stay here, remember to check out the peddler's pack gift shop.
