Disappointed!
By ,
Evening front Desk staff were not friendly, they lack customer service and did not wear a smile; rooms are small; service was not the best; we had a reunion and spent thousands $$$, but had an awful experienced... I Shall not there and I unable to make a recommendation. It's the sale staff, as well as catering manager were all about the Benjamins and not about public relations, future return business. WE had family reuinon banquet there and our family who more than $40.00 for their meals had to pay $7.00 each night for parking. Wow! What an experiences. Some family members made advance reservation for double bed; however, received a king bed. WE had the worst locations in the hotel, although I had requested certain areas. ALAS!! The catering staff were very nice. They had people skills.

Rude and Messy
By ,
My family stayed at the hotel for 5 nights at the end of Dec '08. My wife and I are in our late 30s with two kids, son 8 years old and a daughter 5. We did not rent a car. We visit the manager’s cocktail reception three times. We visited only Disney parks during our visit. Our visit also included three trips in the evening to Downtown Disney. We purchased our Disney tickets through the hotel. Another fact impacting our experience was that our daughter got pink half way through our trip. Our hotel room was a king bed suite with a pullout sofa bed. The room was fine. The furniture was very plain. I am no décor expert, but if I were rating the room décor I would give it a 1 out of 5. Let’s just say the sofa was a lime green. The TVs were old tube TVs – nothing great. The bathroom had small spots of mold. Some of the bathroom tiles looked very poorly repaired. The windows did not open so we had poor air quality - very dusty. Our room was outside near the pool and hot tub. After 10 or 11 the pool area seemed to get very quite. Some guest coming back late were not respectful to noise levels. The breakfast buffet was very crowded. At times there weren’t enough tables and we shared a table with another family some mornings. The omelet line at times had over a 25 people waiting for one chef. There were two general lines for hot pre-ready food. When one of these lines ran out they would only restock one line, causing that one open line to back up fast. Overall, the hotel just needed to add 4-6 people to make this more efficient. The food was pretty good – both the custom omelet and hot buffet. The manager’s reception was poor. I have stayed at many Embassy Suites for business. Typically the reception includes some small hot buffet snacks. The only thing they had was a popcorn machine that burnt my daughter when hot oil shot out as she went for a refill. The liquor served was very bottom shelf. My wife described the wine was the worst she had ever tasted. When our daughter got pink eye we quickly got her pediatrician on the phone for a prescription. We first discovered this at 9pm one evening. So we needed to find a 24 hour pharmacy. Remember, we had no car – so we needed to closest pharmacy. The hotel didn’t have this information on hand. They finally gave us the # of a pharmacy 30 min away. I used Google and found one 2 min away. In a time of a small family crisis the hotel did not come through. Our worst experience was with the concierge’s desk. I always assume the best service in a hotel comes from the concierge. The one person that stands out is a fella named “JC.” He was simply rude every time we spoke with him. But, he was not the only rude person at the concierge’s desk. One evening we were out and called the front desk to have the hotel car service pick us up at Downtown Disney. The manager on duty transferred us to the valet who did not answer. After three failed attempts to transfer us to the valet, the manager said “you are just going to have to take a cab.” The overall condition of the hotel was “okay.” For half of our stay one of the two main elevators was not working. For half of our stay the arcade was shut down due to the ceiling falling down. Most of the doorways, elevators and hallways had lost of visible wear and tear that was not maintained. A small portion of the pool sidewalk was roped off for most of our trip for repair. The hotel looked used and not kept up. As you walk around the hotel you will see spots of garbage left by guests, especially around the pool. The hotel was very slow to clean up during the day. There wasn’t any day time maintenance around the pool. At the end of the day, used towels could be seen everywhere. The hotel is not within walking distance of anything. The hotel is down a dead end street that back to the Interstate. The complimentary bus to Disney work fairly well.

Unsecured Room
By ,
We were on the exterior far side, doors open to the outdoors and not an indoor atrium like most Embassy's - our room and things were open to the public, needless to say the maid service left our door cracked open the entire day while we were at Disney World. It made for a very stressful stay not knowing what happened, looking thru our room to see if anyone was in there, then shuffling through our belongings to be sure we weren't missing anything.

Had a great time!
By ,
Enjoyed our stay at this one. Kids had a great time in the pool and, of course, at Disney World attractions. Thanks for the free shuttle service (well organized). Also, kids enjoyed the movie by the pool.

Don't Stay here!!!!
By ,
There is no customer service. The phone was constantly blinking with a message to sell a time share. House keeping was poor. The Management didn't seem to care. The shuttle bus was plastered wall to wall with " Tip your Driver ". The breakfast was always cold, 8 days in a row. Normally I love to stay at Embassy Suites. AVOID THIS ONE !!! There are plenty of hotels in this area that really want your business.

Surprisingly Awful
By ,
We thought this would be a reasonable mid-range hotel. It wasn't. The property is run-down. Our room was well below expected standard: room was cramped, damaged and filthy. Bath tile was mildewed. Bath surface had been painted - which chipped off when I bathed my children. Kitchenette area was damaged. Guest laudry was an expensive joke: all dryer vents were blocked so we stayed up until 1am trying to dry clothes, then gave up and draped everything around the room. Reported the blocked vents (a fire hazard) to hotel staff & management who simply didn't care. Housekeeping was OK-when they bothered. Free breakfast is a good idea - but the lines are really long and the food is not great. Not many fresh / healthy choices. Doesn't even serve real orange juice (in Orange, Co, Fla!), but serves some sugary orange drink instead. Shuttle to Disney is also a good idea...but...it was 45 minutes late picking up one day and 30 minutes late another. There is no shade or place to sit when waiting for pick up and we were all exhausted. My (young) children had had it by then. All in all: ugly, dirty, run-down and badly managed. Stay elsewhere.

Lots of positives
By ,
Just got back from there. Some of the staff was VERY, very, helpful, and had customer service down to a "t." I don't know who the guy was that helped with getting your luggage at night, but he was very pleasant. Housekeeping was awesome. I went back to do something in my room just as housekeeping was comming in, and she said, "Don't worry! I'll do it. This is your vacation!" She went the extra mile for us. I think her name was Lourdes. The cook is awesome. He greets everyone with some made up name, and was halarious. Some people are slower than others and took a while to catch on. He was funny, and I think he's an asset to that hotel. Our first room had horrible air conditioning. It didn't work well, and at 1am, we asked to be changed to another room which was a little better, but annoying that we had to do that. The humidity was up there, but I'm not sure what they could do about it. That is the only negative of my stay there. Overall, everything was good, staff was helpful, everything was clean. I would stay there again.

great for families
By ,
Pros: Embassy Suites breakfast are phenomenal and they are included in the price. Great location, friendly staff (great with kids). Happy hour drinks. They got us some good discounts to Sea World by doing the time share tour. Cons: It's not the nicest ES we've stayed at. Some wear and tear, mind you we were there off season. The playground was being replaced, and the movie equiptment for the Friday night movies were out of order. Nothing was done to replace this. The matresses need updating. The biggest issue was for some reason they had no fan in the bathroom.... OVERALL: We would definitly go back, for the price well worth it.
