Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa, Phuket

I cant believe that there was ever any bad reviews about this hotel! My husband and I have never been over seas before and we found this hotel a very beautiful place to stay. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, they even gave us a welcoming cocktail drink when we got there. Our room was huge and had a lovely bath with a window looking out at the ocean. I used this a few times while having a drink or two!! Room Service was great and not that expensive and the shuttle bus that takes you to your room was good to (the drivers get to know you and take you as close as possible to your room...they really are nice people). I would recommend this hotel for anyone. The only thing I didn't like was walking up that hill after a few drinks.It was a bit tiring (however if you got there before midnight the shuttle bus wa still there and would take you up the hill). We are thinking of going back again and taking our kids and maybe go with another couple too and stay at the Diamond Cliff Resort again as it was definitely worth it. My hubby doesn't like walking but actually enjoyed the walk down to Patong as it only took about 15mins and was near the ocean. Far enough out of it but close enough to it!

The hotel is on a slight hill which gets a bit tiring after a few days but there is a mini bus to take you as close to your room as possible. We had a bit of a mix up on rooms when we arrived as we went on honeymoon and should of got an upgrade which didnt happen but i think that was more a fault on the company we went through and not the actual hotel. Apart from that, the rooms were lovely and service was very good. There were 3 pools and all were equally as nice as each other. You can get a taxi into Patong but we walked most of the time as it only takes about 10 mins and you can walk along the beach which was nice. The locals are polite and as long as you are polite back when you dont want to buy anything they will leave you alone. The hotel also has a number of restaurants. We ate in the Thai, Grill & Italian a number of times and all had excellent service and the food was lovely, there are about 6 restaurants in total though i think. Overall, this is a good place to go for a romantic holiday with the option for both quiet and entertaining night life. If we went back to Phuket, we would stay in this hotel again.
