Good but needs improvement
By Steve, 5/9/07
I've never been so undecided about a hotel. The overall feel of the place is beautiful and warm. The food was mediocre at best. The location was ideal, set a mile from the downtown. The pool was very nice but warning: the staff fall in love with the microphones and speakers. All afternnon they scream BINGO numbers in two languages and the sound pierces the walls of your room. NO NAPS! The evenings were peaceful and we never heard a sound after 10. Our MLT representative was the BEST we have ever had and showed up daily. The hotel staff was courteous but somewhat aloof. The rooms were made up promptly but were a bit old fashioned. The balconies were great but the bathrooms looked like they were from the 70's. I guess a trip is what you make it. We had a blast, but would I go back to the Hotel Cozumel and Resort? Maybe.... I told you about our ambiguity on the place....

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY
By Liz, 10/14/10
They overcharged me at checkout for stating that the exchange rate wasn't calculated correctly when we paid at checkin. Location is on the outskirts of town. Beach access is dangerous and unclean. They need to scrub the algae on the water access as I almost slipped getting in. Food is old and dry...it has been sitting in the serving trays many hours and not stirred. When you DO go get food, someone is there to watch you....very uncomfortable. Best advice is to save you time and money and go somewhere else. The food isnt worth the $60/day all inclusive. Hotel staff is also not very helpful or knowledgable of anything.

Our favorite place to stay
By Cassandra, 7/19/05
We loved that it was close to the city and we could walk where ever we needed to go. We also liked that there was good snorkeling just off of the beach.

The time of my life
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/27/06
I LOVED staying at this hotel with my family and friends. The staff was so nice and we made great lifelong friends with the staff. The service, food, and shows were great and we always had what we needed to be comfortable. The rooms were beautiful and the views from the hotel were just breath-taking. I couldn't have had a better time. There were always activities going so we were never bored. And the pool was so big and fun! We are definately going to try to go back! Thanks to all the staff for the awesome time! And hi to Fernando, Alex, and mike! ( part of the staff we became very good friends with) Love you guys! luv always Amber Langer

UNBELIEVEABLE
By M, 6/18/09
We had the honeymoon package. Even if it is not your honeymoon - say it is, just to get this package. We were treated like rock stars all weekend. Upon entering we found that our name were on a billboard in the hotel lobby (Welcome home & Congradulations). The bartender met us at the front desk with a delicious drink. Upon arriving in our room we found every surface of our room was covered in flowers. Champagne chilling, and a basket of fresh fruit. The jacuzzi on the balcony had candles everywhere. And the guy who filled our refrigerator daily, way over filled, we could not drink the number of beverages that he provided. There was special dinner given just for the two of us, on the gazebo on the ocean. There are not enough words in the english vocabulary that can express how gourmet this meal was. Besides the setting being an increadible romantic experience, the food very much excentuated it. The staff went above and beyond at every chance. This has always been a divers paradise for our trips....but I wonder if they will believe that my husband and I will get married once a year, just to get the honeymoon package! - talk to Enrique - he will set you up.

Totally Awesome Hotel
By sherry, 3/30/09
I have been on many vacations and have stayed at many hotels/resorts. I have to say that Hotel Cozumel and Resort was definetely A-1 . My 27 year old daughter and I loved it from the minute we walked in. The staff greeted us with a tropical drink and it just got better from there. The grounds were very beautiful and well kept. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and curteous and went above and beyond to be accomodating to us. It was close to town and had many activities to keep you busy. The best part ? THE FOOD !! It was superb !! I can not say enough good things about this hotel and would not even think of booking anywhere else on the beautiful island of Cozumel.

Great times!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/20/06
I recently returned from a week long stay at Hotel Cozumel and can only rave about the great service we recieved as well as all of the kindest people to be met. The food was excellent, people friendly, and the diving absolutely spectacular! Thanks for making my first trip to Cozumel the best! I would return in a heartbeat. Also I traveled with a group who had also stayed at Hotel Cozumel last year, they had even better things to say about the improvements in only a year! Thanks again

Comfort and convenience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/05
We have stayed at Hotel Cozumel for the past 12 years - through its many name changes - and still find it one of the best deals in Cozumel. It has a great pool, a beachfront area, and is within walking distance of town. We have stayed there through a package vacation as well as direct booking and have always been pleased. The staff work to make sure you are satisfied. We look forward to staying there again.
