Comfort Inn Newport, Newport

Well, my husband announced, at the last minute of course, that he wanted to go surfing...so Thurs. evening I went online searching for a reasonably priced room for a Friday night stay...money is kind of tight as I am recently unemployed. Booked a room, one queen bed, ocean view, pets for an additional fee......Well, check in time was 3pm, we arrived quite early (before lunch) and, since the room was available, the Manager very graciously checked us in and handed me the key. We are planning our next stay and will let our circle of weekend surfers know of our delightful stay.

love the hotel the location is nice the rooms are clean, and it makes you feel like you are at home.

My wife and I checked in at 11pm on the 17th of August and the front desk clerk was extremely pleasant and helful with info about local attractions. Once checked in, we saw that the room was very clean & orderly. We didn't even go to sleep until 2am, so we were very tired. We woke up at just past 7am the next morning because of a screaming baby next door. The walls seemed paper thin and we could hear everything. We tossed and turned for another hour with the baby screaming and then called the front desk. They were absolutely no help and acted as if we were bothering them. No discount, no call to the loud occupants, no apology...nothing. Terrible continental breakfast in a very small overcrowded room. We checked out early and will never give another cent to Comfort Inn. Thanks for a terrible start to my birthday. Not recommended at all.

The room was clean, the inside temperature was perfect, and the bed was very comfortable. The Beach is very close and the hotel is situated off the main drive so there wasn't any road noise. I couldn't get the internet price at the front desk, so make sure you book on the internet for the better price. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

he is a bad manager lair tells you that you have your room then when you talk to him he said he never said that......owners also are very bad tell you that your family cant come vist you...this hotel is very bad dont stay there.. bad manager.. bad stafff

We stayed at this motel for 2 nights. No real issues on the first night but the morning that we were going to leave we woke up with NO HOT WATER. We informed the front desk, who argued with us stating "they never have not had hot water" so we invited the lady to come to our room and see for herself. She did... well needless to say a hour and a half later still no hot water and we had to check out... no showers for anyone... I went to the main desk to inquire about what kind of compensation we would get since right in there room they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee which states (and I quote " If you are not please with your room or your service, inform the front desk. If we cannot correct the situation in a timely manner and to your satisfaction, you will not be charged for your room " Seems pretty cut and dry... no hot water, no showers... and almost 2 hours to fix... I shouldn't pay.. well the General Manager feels that this is not worthy of a refund but gave me a $15 credit (on a $200 room by the way) what a joke. After calling him and having several discussions I was promised a full refund for the 2nd night ... only for him to later "change his mind" and tell me that I would get nothing more.. Go here if you want to take cold showers, be lied to from management if you have any problems...

Check in was fast. Marie was so nice. The room was nice and The matress was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and offered more than other places. The walk to the beach was great and close. Will stay again. Kathy

This hotel is walking distance, within a block of beach, good value, and close to everything. Very comfortable beds. Updated clean rooms, quiet location, great price for the Oregon coast in August. A local seafood restaurant, Georgie's, is within walking distance. Good restaurant, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Caution: If you need Wi-Fi access, call to check if it's working. There was no internet access at all during our visit. We would stay again because of location to beach, good price, clean, nice rooms. Staff was friendly and very helpful. A positive experience on the Oregon coast during the height of tourist season, where most hotel rooms were twice the price.

Great friendly staff,clean rooms. They were helpful in telling us some places to get a nice meal,and what was happening in the area.Also it's just a short walk to the beach! It would be nice if they had ceiling fans in the rooms,but they did give us a small fan.
