very nice stay!
By tamikah m, 12/16/07
the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. the best thing i like about this hotel is that if you get a room with two beds, they are actually in separate rooms! it gives you and whoever you're traveling with some privacy to get dressed and things like that. this is going to be my hotel of choice when i come to tuscaloosa!

Just Nasty
By kingjobo, 10/31/06
Went to the hotel for a UA game. Open the bed up and found hair on the mattress, told reception. They cleaned sheets, but the mattress cover had pubic hairs while I saw them changed it. When I came back from eating, I took it off. The next day, while my wife and I were getting ready to leave. There was no hot water, it was lukewarm. Then I saw a cockroach crawling around. Management had already gave us 5% off for no remote control. that was nothing to me, I just wanted the place clean. When I told the guy at the deak about the roach, he stated "Are you sure it was a roach?" Yes I was sure and my wife was to. Bed didn't sleep good either, luckly I had a extra bed cover with us, that bought from home, so we would not touch the hair. I won't stay here again, or at another Choice Hotels International. I spent time at the one in Pigeon Forger (Comfort Suites) and it was nasty. All of their hotels are nasty. Stay Away!

Fire the housekeeping!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/06
I am a frequent visitor of this hotel and overall it is a nice place to stay. The continental breakfast and the pool are great, allthough they could extend the breakfast hours. The front desk is always pleasent and will assist you in every way they can. However the housekeeping is awlful, awful, awful. Most of the women are very rude and don't know how to clean a room. My last visit was for 6 nights and they only thing the housekeeping did was take the towels and trash(and some food that we had planned on eating).I had to take the vacuum cleaner out of the hallway and clean the floor myself.I even had to go to the front desk many times to get coffee because they would not replace it daily. So in my opinion fire the staff of housekeepers and get some women in there who know how to clean. When your away from home you want to feel at home and you can't do that if you are surround by dirt and grime in the showers.

Excellent Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/05
I liked everything about this hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area and it was relaxing, the service was excellent and the rooms were always kept clean. For what the price is, this is an excellent place to stay. I would stay there again.

Disappointed..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/05
The front desk rep was really nice and helpful. However, this hotel charged $108.00 a night for a $50.00 a night room. I know this was a big weekend seeing the Alabama Crimson Tide was playing, but the price gauging is outrageous. For a $108.00, I expected a King size bed, business center, free breakfast, etc. My guest and I were really disappointed.
