The Inn at Willowbend, Wichita

I must say, this Inn was a total disappointment. After checking in to a 1 bedroom suite I found the room to be quite dusty, the carpet was sticky under my bare feet. The 2 televisions in the room were ancient, had snowy reception and one remote did not work. There was a DVD player in the bedroom with the 13" stat-icy television but did not work. I stayed in a suite with a whirlpool in the bedroom, after filling the tub and turning on the jets I went into the living room, when I returned there was a 3" dark black ring all around the tub which wasn't there before, so I got to clean- JOY. This made me wonder if they actually cleaned the tub or just wiped it down, or maybe it is the filter they do not take care to clean or replace. There were hand prints all over the headboard of the bed reflecting that it had not been cleaned in some time. The king bed was extremely hard; it was comparable to sleeping on the floor. The fan in the bathroom did not work which caused the fire alarm in the suite to go off after taking a hot shower because of the steam. The towels were thick but VERY rough. The front desk closes at dark so no help there. Breakfast in the morning was for those of acquired taste, slimy scrambled eggs, pink sausage links, hard biscuits and watery gravy. The toast was as expected though. I do travel a lot and have seen just about everything, but this inn was the lowest of the low! I would not recommend this inn to ANYONE! Over all I think that a 2 star hotel in Vegas is superior to this run down nightmare.

I love the friendly atmosphere, felt very much at home at the Inn. Wonderful breakfasts, clean rooms, quiet. We just love everything about the place!! There were even tornado sirens sounding last time we were there and they made sure everyone knew where to go and that everyone was aware. Awesome place. Also enjoyed watching out the window, the golfers on the course as we were relaxing before our bowling tourney!

I stayed at Willowbend because of my spouse was in the Heart Hospital. The staff gave me a discount for that and were more than accomodating. They are very courteous and go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and always ask if there is anything they can do. I read where a guest was not happy with their accomodations. My reply to that would be for the guest to talk with whomever is working. Whether it is management (who lives on the premises) or another employee, the staff will do whatever it takes to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy with their accomodations. When in Wichita (spent a lot of time there lately), I won't stay anywhere else.

The staff was great! They catered to our every need. The food was spectacular. We rented the conference room for a rehearsal dinner and it was just what we needed. They set the tables up, put on the tablecloths, and could not have been more helpful. We had a great stay. Thank-you.

Was charged $100 for a hotel that was not clean, old furnishings, and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom floor was dirty, the toliet didn't flush, the carpet is from the early 80's, the furnishings are dated, the matress is not comfortable, the heating unit incredibly loud, and you could hear everyone around you. Basically no sleep. The only person I saw working was busy smoking outside everytime I entered or exited the motel.

...but this is a great place to stay. Reasonable rates, great food and amenities and staying on a golf course one block from Barnes and Noble and every eating establishment known to mankind...well almost! Ample choices at any rate! How cool is that!

This hotel is awesome. My fiance and I stayed there for 2 nights and the customer service is great and the rooms are NICE, which is an understatement!
