Americas Best Inns-Chattanooga/Hamilton, Chattanooga

We walked into this place thinking how lucky we were to find somewhere with such a low price. As we were walking to our room we noticed on the very back side of the building they had mattresses and box springs propped up against the wall. I made the comment that maybe they were remodeling. So we get into the room, it's nothing fancy but we weren't expecting it to be the hilton. The room was clean and spacious. We go to bed and my husband complained a few times during the night of being itchy. I thought it was just the blanket so we took that off the bed. The next morning I woke up to 2 bed bug bites on one arm and 3 on the other. My husband was bitten on his legs mostly and his left arm. We hightailed it out of there as quickly as possible. After we left, it occured to me that they probably have those mattresses/boxsprings propped up in the very back thinking that will get rid of them instead of getting the place professionally exterminated. If you stay here, be ready to get bitten and also be ready to take steps to make sure you don't carry them back to your home because it'll end up costing a ton of money to get them out of your house. Personally, I don't care how cheap it is, I would rather sleep in my car.

They showed us a nice room and then assigned us a bad room. When we asked for the nice room they said it was booked. There was blood stains on the mattresses, mold on the shower walls, the AC leaked, the remote did not work, the service was terrible, we wanted to leave but they wouldn't return out money and the internet wi fi did not work. It was horrible. They are not America's best they are it's worst and not even owned/ran by Americans!

We stopped here on our way back from Florida. It was raining, we were tired and hungry and just wanted a descent place to stay. Because of it's location Americas Best Inns was the first place we stopped. I was worried about the rooms because the price was so reasonable, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, cool and everything (shower, microwave, blowdryer, tv) worked. Although we did not get to use the pool we did walk down and it was very clean. The area was quiet and safe and there were places within walking distance to eat. I do suggest that you bring your own pillows. The pillows were flat and not very supportive. But, for the price this was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again. The Schmitt Family
