Room Great, Staff and Service Not So Much

The room was very nice, the location was great...these were very much positives. The bed was especially comfortable. But the staff was awful. They were rude and especially condescending to the younger adults and the GM was immature and willing to help. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism! The last night of our stay they had a string of burglaries in their parking lot as well, with 18 cars broken into! If you are going to put additional parking at the back of the hotel, you may want to include a security camera or two No complaints about the room, but the staff and break-ins caused our experience to be significantly impacted. Pass on this hotel for this price and go elsewhere!

They charge you for a night's stay, even when you cancel. On top of that, they fought and fought my credit card company to reverse the incorrect charge.

Best of the Best!!!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Marriott in Troy, MI. So far, this is the best service that I have ever received at the Marriott or at any other hotel. I am a frequent traveler, and love to rest when I come to a hotel from a busy day (leisure/business). I stayed for 3 nights, yes it was expensive however, you got what you paid for. The cleaning service were so considered on giving us enough towels, and the shuttle service to the airport (about 30 min away from hotel) were so kind, that they even called your room to inform you when the shuttle was ready w/o having to wait for them. I must say, I was there for a conference...there's not much to do in Troy..however they do have a beautiful mall! Apart from location, the hotel was incredible, everything was clean, and workers went above and beyond to make my stay homelike. I even forgot a few things in the hotel, and they offered to mail it to me with out an additional charge. Now that's what I call "Excellent Customer Service."

It was very clean and all of the staff were very, very nice and friendly! The maids are very helpful and would come to our room without us calling them! We love this Hotel!

Girls fun weekend!

We had a fun girls weekend in October. Checkin was very quick.Rooms were spotless and very very pretty and very comfortable. Choose the spa package. Had a wonderful experience at the spa. Shopped all day Saturday and part of Sunday at Somerset Collection. Breakfast at the hotel was excellant. Found the whole weekend to be tons of fun with a great location to shopping, great restaurants! Plan on doing another "girls weekend" this fall too! Thanks to the polite staff and everyone who helped me with making the arrangements. PS. I have booked a June vacation at the Marriott in St. Thomas and November will be going to the JW Marriott in Cancun.

Nice Hotel... Nice People

We stay at Marriot on a shopping trip to Troy Mall often. Truthfully we are only in the room to sleep. It is clean and comfortable and breakfast at in the restaurant is great.
