On check in the lobby had an overpowering cooking smell of curry. Not pleasant. The female attendant was courteous and check in itself was quick. The room was basic but clean. Overall it was OK. I was there for 6 days and didn't really find it a problem. The wireless internet didn't work and I got a cable from the front desk so that I could connect to the wired connection. The connection speed was slow and, very frustrating. There were several large construction vehicles in the parking lot. They would start their vehicles between 5:30 - 6 in the mornings and leave then idling for several minutes. This was very disturbing. I spoke to one of the truck drives who told me that they were doing some temporary work at a power plant just outside of Thomaston. On the upstairs balcony/walkway on the far side of the hotel away from the street, there was several A/C units lying against the wall. This gave the place a junky appearance as this area was trafficked by people who parked in the front parking lot. I don't think this was the right place to store junk and it was there for 6 days!!!! The hotel is in a very convenient location. Close to all restaurants and the main shopping area in Thomaston.
