Yahoo won't let me post my video link of the actual resort. (just go to youtube and search "Me Cancun By Melia 1st hand Review") Id give this zero stars if it were possible. I am not a complainer. In face this is the first time I have ever taken the time to warn somebody online about anything. I am not hard to please. This place is a scam. I took the time to make a video documenting how bad this place really is. Please watch and spend your time anywhere else! Keep in mind i have been to Cancun over 30 times! Value: If you are going to book this hotel as a all inclusive, be careful becuase not everything is inclusive. room service - food & drinks are free but the "service" is not. Be very careful what you eat and drink in the room there are more than half of the stuff in the room are not free. Service: If you want bottle of water you need to wait becuase everything here runs on receipt and limite 2 per person. Cleanliness: Burn mark on the sofa, bed sheet smells like it never been changed. Value: Not worth what we pay and will never go back to this hotel again. I've been to many all inclusive hotels over the years and this one is the worst one in everyway. I will NOT recommended to anyone I know. I hope this helps you on your travel decision.

Planned a trip with my boyfriend and we had a horrible stay. The staff is rude, short, and always rushing you. The restaurants are nice, however you are rushed from the moment you sit. "All-inclusive.." everytime you order anything, be as small as a water you get a bill you must sign...with ofcourse a line for tip......BAD SERVICE. The beds--you must rent for $30-40 dollars.....and the Bali beds next to the "infinity pool" are reserved for those getting a bottle. Needless to say bottles are over $200 (for cheap vodka that you can get for $20). Be sure you know what you are getting to before you sign up!

The hotel itself is beautiful with the very modern, sleek decor that my husband I find appealing. There is a very calm, serene vibe to the hotel until night when it becomes a little more lively. We stayed on the 10th floor in a Level suite which was very nice and had a great hot-tub, in addition to a large balcony with a bed for sunning oneself. The view of the beach below was fabulous. We had an all inclusive package and the food was very good - not great- but very good. We enjoyed the breakfast the most. Unfortunately, we did have one bad experience. The hot-tub in the suite above our suite leaked and we ended up with our ceiling filled with water that leaked all over out floor. It took a very long time for anyone to respond to our request for maintenance and when someone finally came to fix it (which required climbing into our ceiling and draining the water and then re-plastering the ceiling) he spoke no English so it was difficult to understand when the repairs would be complete. The next day the same problem happened and there was water all over the floor in our suite, and again a response was very slow, leaving me to mop up the water with our towels! We complained to management and were changed to a new suite and were each given a complimentary 25 minute massage, but we felt the compensation was too late and too little. The spa was lovely and we enjoyed the free internet access at the hotel.

Several months ago my wife booked 2 rooms for the ME Hotel. It was an incredible deal, or so we thought. The price was $108 for 2 persons for an all inclusive. We were excited to stay here. My wife though decided to call and make sure the rooms were adjoining as per request. Well after the phone call my wife called me in tears to inform me that they had canceled the reservation. She had spent 4 hours on the telephone trying to reason with the management. Our flight is leaving in several days so we really are in quite a bind. The prices much higher now, with fewer options. Well the "ME" certainly was no bargain and to top things when we asked for proof that we had canceled our reservation they sent us a return email that said "cancel room" with no information on who the email originated from. Certainly not us, as we were planning on spending some our vacation there. Small suggestion, if you reserve a room here make sure you get everything in writing. We thought we were well prepared and they still screwed us. Tried to conatct the management today but they are unresponsive. I wonder if they overbook rooms like the airlines and sell the room to the highest bidder?

To begin, I've never given a hotel a bad review as my wife and I are pretty adaptable travelers. I was set to give the ME a good review except for unreliable WiFi until our last night, which unfortunately was New Year's eve. All week, the ME had been pushing their NE eve party at $250 USD per person. That was for dinner and some DJs by the pool. As there were 4 of us, $1,000 for dinner and some music seemed extravagant so we opted to just have dinner in one of the hotel restaurants. What we found was that unless you went to the party, you were out of luck as far as eating. We weren't even able to get a drink in the bar. After trying every restaurant, we finally were told we might have been able to eat if we had made reservations earlier in the week. Never a word was said about needing reservations simply to eat as they weren't necessary earlier but apparently they were pushing the party. I asked to talk to the hotel manager, and my request was refused. We went across the street to the mall and all the restaurants there closed early so we all went without dinner our last night in Cancun. A sad ending to an expensive week in Cancun (2 ocean-view rooms for a week over a holiday period.) Next time to Cancun, it certainly will not be the ME Cancun and it's too bad because we kind of liked the place until the end spoiled it all.

The hotel is beautiful. The beach is awesome. The pool area is awesome. I wish I could say the same about the service! We were there for 5 days. The first 3 days we complained about the door knob coming off on the inside of the room...with no action taken. We were totally mislead about the true cost of the excursions we were booking through the hotel. We were also treated very disrespectfully by the sales person trying to sell us a "vacation package," (ie time share). To top all the ugly service off, the maid threw away my contact lenses and the hotel did not even offer to replace them....Just an ugly service experience.

Service was terrible, 3rd time to this hotel, was there for 6 days before a waiter ever came over to me by the pool, then had to track him down for my change. everyday had to go to the bar to order something and was kept waiting even though i was the only patron there with 8 wait staff, elevators were filthy as was computer table. pool tiles missing, empty glasses pool side for hours, cigerette butts everywere. will stay at the Royal or le meridian instead

EL HOTEL ESTA SUPER MODERNO, LOS EMPLEADOS MUY AMABLES, LA HABITACION TAL COMO LA FOTO, SOLO UNA QUEJA MI ESPOSO TOMO UNA BOTELLA DE AGUA DEL SERVIBAR Y NOS COBRARON 15 DLLS FUE MUY CHISTOSO PAGAR TANTO POR UNA BOTELLITA DE AGUA, PERO TODO LO DEMAS FABULOSO!!!!! LO RECOMIENDO AMPLIAMENTE!!!!!!

Words fail me when I begin to describe my experience at ME. The food. The service. The room. All were outstanding. If I ever have a chance to return to Cancun, I want to stay here again. I only hope the sea bass tacos are still on the menu.
