Quality Inn and Suites Durham, Durham

We checked in after a long drive and all we wanted was a clean place for the night and a hot shower.Our room location was excellent and the room was clean but we did find several bugs in the bath room and had no hot water until Thursday morning Calls to the front desk brought the response of we will try to get someone down there in a couple of hours. Needless to say we will not be back and will discourage others from staying there.

From the time of our arrival until our departure, we were treated with courtesy and professionalism. We were in the area for our daughter to receive medical treatment, and had various family in and out needing rooms often on a moment's notice. Jasmine handled all of these changes efficiently and pleasantly. Ahmed Abraham was also very helpful in assuring our needs were met, and that shuttle transportation was available for trips to and from the hospital, and showed genuine concern about our situation. A clean, comfortable room at a fair price. A small but effective exercise room and laundry facility on-site were also helpful during our extended stay. Located next door to Cracker Barrel for meals or a late-night coffee and pie. Also within minutes of a number of tourist attractions including the Life and Science Museum with a butterfly conservatory.

They will lie to you. The maint. of the rooms are in bad shape. The bathrooms are in bad shape. The management has went to hell in a handbag. The custermer comes first. The custermer is spending his/her money. To get them to come back and/or tell others of their stay, it has to be worth staying. I would not tell anyone to stay at this place. I travel 49 to 50 weeks a year in my work. I have stayed in a lot of hotels/motels, but this was the worst!!!!!!

I wasn't as impressed as the above reviewers, but still found this to be a decent hotel/motel for the price ($60 a night). The room was clean and neat, the staff were competent, and the breakfast reasonable. Wi-fi access was good. No pretensions to being more than a decent place to stay and sleep. Overall, good value.
