Unless you have to stay here -dont. I could not find the hotel and called several tiems and the phone went unanswered. When I checked in, they said they were very busy. Finding this palce at night- not worth it.

Where to start?? There are many problems: Very difficult to find off the road and hard to get into. The hotel is being remodeled so the "front desk" is in a makeshift room off of a hallway. When I inquired about a restroom (as I was waiting for 15 minutes at check in), I was directed to a vacant guest room!?!? The restaurant was closed so the only options were to order food to be delivered, drive to a restuarant (terrible area) or take a shuttle to the airport. When calling to the front desk from the room, the phone would ring 7 times and then go to a pre-recorded message. (We did this 4 different times). Internet service was a joke as we would be disconnected every 5-10 minutes. Also it was as slow as dial-up used to be. I was in a group with 3 other indivduals from my company as this was booked by a travel agent. The stay was supposed to be for 3 nights.....we all checked out on the 2nd day. I stay in hotels all over the country and usually give plenty of "slack" for problems. In this case, I have to say that the overall experience was so bad that I would not only not recommend this hotel but I would strongly suggest to stay away. Sorry-----

The hotel itself is nice, room service was OK - getting to the hotel was a nightmare. You can see it - but navigating there and trying to avoid going to the turnpike is a task in itself. Will probably not stay there again, due to the stress in trying to get there.

We tayed there during my family's spring break. When we were loading up and checking out our van was broken into in the 5 minutes it took my husband to walk to the room and get the family. The only person close by was a hotel employee who did not see or hear our window being broken even though he was close by. The person knew exactly where my husband place the camera and computer. When I researched after returning home, I came across at least 5 other people since December who have similar problems at this hotel. The police and detective believe it was an employee and Marriott basically told us too bad. You should not place valuables in your vehicle even when you are in the process of checking out. I wish I had know before that this had happened to other people and we would have stayed elsewhere.

i greatly admire the hotel staff (millie jason, and the rest. sorry bad with remembering names)..difficult location to get to, but dont worry, the staff is extremely friendly and will be more than willing to help out with directions. the front desk employees here exemplify leadership characteristics and traits in which thinking they would be the manager. good job courtyard newark airport. i expect to recommend this hotel to my company for future stays and possibly a corporate rate!

I was attending training nearby and decided to stay here based on other reviews. I found the hotel exceptionally clean and the employees very polite and considerate. The food and service was wonderful and the manager very helpful. Can you tell I was impressed?

Wonderful staff. Very helpful with directions. Very difficult to locate, even another Courtyard down the road was unable to give good directions. Felt secure leaving personal vehicle in hotel lot which was included with nightly rate. Pool and hot tub was a wonderful feature. Free shuttle to airport was nice to grap train into New York. Rooms were spacious and very clean. My two year old enjoyed standing at the window watching planes come and go, which was never a disturbance throughout the night. Bath/shower combo with seperate sink which is always nice to allow more then one person to get ready for the day. Two queen beds and we added a rollaway. Rollaway took up space while open, but there were four adults and two children in one room. Food pricey at location, so plan ahead for snacks. Few restaurants close by, however we mostly used location for sleeping and relaxing. Would stay here again, seeing that we know how to get to it now. Free internet which is always nice. Just called for detailed directions before you go.

It's very close to the airport so you don´t have to drive too much to get there.
