Ducks in the pool
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/09
There were numerous ducks swimming in the outdoor pool. There was duck poop in the pool and around the pool and feathers floating in the water. Indoor pool was also a disappointment. Too outdated, too small and the water was cloudy.

What A Dump !
By Cay E, 5/31/09
I writing this from room 506...it was the lesser of five evils. The first one smelled like urine, the second one was so dirty, I felt as if I needed a shower as I walked out the door. Third one had an extreme moldy smell. Fourth one was in such disrepair that the shelving unit and the mini fridge was " supporting " was a heavy sigh away from landing in the floor. As I sit in room 506 (the "cleanest" one) the drapes are terribly stained, the outlet is so filthy that I won't use it to charge my phone or PC. There is dust and paper wads in the corner, the sofa is faded and stained, the carpet looks as if it hasn't been cleaned since the Nixon administration, the wallpaper is equally as old and dirty. The bed and bah linens are dingy, and it would take more than my remaining characters to describe the bathroom. There is a raw, unpainted board supporting the air conditioner and that seems to be a theme here...every repair is haphazard and kluged. One of the reasons I chose Quality Inn was because the pictures show that the rooms have nice balconies, however there is a sign on the exterior door that leads to the balcony that states the door has been sealed because the balconies are unsafe. And as an interesting aside, there were a few suspicious looking individuals lurking in the parking lot looking in vehicle windows when I arrived just after midnight, When they realized that I had spotted them, they ran across the street to Dutch Wonderland's lot, Makes me wonder if more than the balconies are unsafe. In conclusion, I do not recommend this particular Quality Inn. As a point of fact I was originally booked to stay two nights, but I told the clerk last night to cancel the second night...I am going to research other lodging options in the area and my second night in Lancaster will be spent in a clean, safe hotel !

Last time staying there!
By Skating, 8/30/08
The best part of this hotel is the location. If you have smalll children, Dutch Wonderland is directly across the street. In addition, Lapps Restaurant is walking distance from the hotel; and there is a Pizza Hut on the premises. Tanger Outlet is walking distance. Rockvale Outlet and the Amish Farm is about a 4 minute drive from the hotel. A very good location. This hotel was once under construction. In my opinion, they need to "go back to the drawing board!" The hotel is very old. When we walked into our room, there was an odor. I sprayed lysol and it did not work. We even used powder and that didn't help either. The ceiling near the window, over the air conditioner, is in desperate need of a paint job. The air conditioner was leaking which made the floor damp. That was a contributing factor to the odor we smelled. The bathroom was somewhat clean but had a sour odor; as if it was cleaned with a dirty/sour cloth. The shower curtain needs to be taken down and replaced. Some of the items in the bathroom are so old that rust is on them; i.e., the tissue holder, and the floor heating unit. It is obvious that this hotel is very old and very outdated! It needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. The front desk staff was "so so." Sometimes they seemed a bit agitated when asked a question. The young lady from housekeeping who took care of our room was very attentive to our needs. In addition, she was very pleasant. The towel rack broke in our bathroom and one of the guys who fixed it was very pleasant. The older guy who came in did not even speak when I opened the door. Some of the staff would greatly benefit from a course in Public Relation/ Communication. (There is one washer/dryer.) I've stayed in several hotels this year but this was the worst one. Until this hotel is remodeled, I do not plan to stay here again.

Will go back next year!
By pat c, 7/29/08
We are 7 people with 2 rooms.  We enjoyed it very much.  The building is somewhat older but very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful and very nice and the cleaning staff saw to it that we had everything we needed. You couldn't ask for anything more at the breakfast. There was something for everyone. We will definitely return next year besides the location and the price were excellent, we liked this place very much. We honestly would recommend this place to all our friends.

Never stay here!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/08
Staff was not helpful! Nonsmoking room was obviously smoking. Room was filthy. Phone, floor and bathroom had not been cleaned. Bedding was dirty. Room was in disrepair. Only six channels on the TV and they were fuzzy. Air conditioner had dirt and mold covering the filter. We did not even use it for fear of what might be in it. Staff refused to refund any of our money. Not worth any amount of money to stay here. Find something else in the area. Many other better choices!!!!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/07
THE ROOM WAS LARGE AND THE LOCATION WAS GREAT, HOWEVER IT WAS FILTHY. FURNITURE IN THE ROOM STAINED AND MISSING LEGS. VERY POOR LIGHTING IN ROOMS.CARPETS DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. TWO ICE MACHINES ON THE FLOOR WHICH WE STAYED ON OUT OF ORDER. BREAKFAST HAD VERY FEW CHOICES.TV ONLY HAD ABOUT 6 CHANNELS. STAFF NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. CEILING IN BEDROOM LEAKED WHEN IT RAINED. MY FAMILY AND I ATTEND AN EVENT IN THE AREA EVERY YEAR AND WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. NOT WORTH $125 A NIGHT!

Chaotic and Unprofessional
We arrived with conifrmation number in hand and were told there was no record of our reservation. The desk staff did not even attemp to assist us in finding alternated accomodations based on there own error. The desk manager [Sara?] could not guarantee that there would be no charges on our card. We have sent a letter of course, but to what avail? Do not go here, the location does not offset the level of annoyance and frustration with this hotel, go down the road, go 30 miles away, but do NOT stay here. If you like punishing yourself and your family then by all means, book a room. But don't expect them to have a record of it when you get there...
