What A Dump !
I writing this from room 506...it was the lesser of five evils. The first one smelled like urine, the second one was so dirty, I felt as if I needed a shower as I walked out the door. Third one had an extreme moldy smell. Fourth one was in such disrepair that the shelving unit and the mini fridge was " supporting " was a heavy sigh away from landing in the floor. As I sit in room 506 (the "cleanest" one) the drapes are terribly stained, the outlet is so filthy that I won't use it to charge my phone or PC. There is dust and paper wads in the corner, the sofa is faded and stained, the carpet looks as if it hasn't been cleaned since the Nixon administration, the wallpaper is equally as old and dirty. The bed and bah linens are dingy, and it would take more than my remaining characters to describe the bathroom. There is a raw, unpainted board supporting the air conditioner and that seems to be a theme here...every repair is haphazard and kluged. One of the reasons I chose Quality Inn was because the pictures show that the rooms have nice balconies, however there is a sign on the exterior door that leads to the balcony that states the door has been sealed because the balconies are unsafe. And as an interesting aside, there were a few suspicious looking individuals lurking in the parking lot looking in vehicle windows when I arrived just after midnight, When they realized that I had spotted them, they ran across the street to Dutch Wonderland's lot, Makes me wonder if more than the balconies are unsafe. In conclusion, I do not recommend this particular Quality Inn. As a point of fact I was originally booked to stay two nights, but I told the clerk last night to cancel the second night...I am going to research other lodging options in the area and my second night in Lancaster will be spent in a clean, safe hotel !
