The Noisiest Hotel in Scotland
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/07
I recently came back from a 3 night stay in the Highland Hotel in Stirling. The hotel is clean which is about the last positive thing i can offer in this review.
All the room doors are on a spring that should of been used to close the draw bridge at Stirling Castle. Every night you would be woken several times with slamming of the doors. This was a big problem for me as I expect to get a decent night sleep if I stay/pay for a 4 star hotel.
There is no assistance with your bags to and from your rooms.
The breakfast was not worth the money as most of the food was very cold.
The evening meal was over priced and half the wine list is sold out.
Overall I do not think that this hotel can justify being anymore than a 3 star hotel at best.
I did find some nice alternatives for my next stay in the city.
Very upset customer in Stirling,
