The elegantly-decorated vacation homes at the Outrigger Palms at Wailea are located on a hillside facing the scenic Wailea Coast, approximately 15 miles from Kahului Airport. Local attractions include Wailea Beach, located less than one mile away, and Kihei, approximately three miles from the resort.The Outrigger Palms at Wailea's most distinctive feature is its whale-shaped outdoor pool. A whirlpool is also present. Other amenities include manicured gardens, babysitting services, free parking, free wireless Internet access spots and a tour desk. Maid service on request (for a fee).Each of the 85 vacation homes features air-conditioning in the master bedrooms (additional air-conditioning units are available by request and for a fee), alarm clocks, balconies, cable TV, VCRs, ceiling fans, free High Speed Internet access, irons and ironing boards, kitchens, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, coffeemakers, cookware, tableware, and laundry facilities.All Outrigger Hotels and Resorts are smoke free.

Delightful Experience

We stayed at the Palms over Christmas 2008. We are a family of four with two daughters. Our one bedroom condo had plenty of room for all of us. The grounds are exquisite, and we took family portraits in the gardens. It was a short walk to the beach, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub every evening after a long day of sightseeing. On Christmas day we cooked steaks on the grill that was on our Lanai. Every morning my husband and I sat on the Lanai lounge chairs, drank coffee, and marveled at how beautiful everything is. I would definitely stay at the Palms again.

Heaven..!

...We walked into room 701 and WOW..! What a beautiful condo..! Spacious...clean and very comfortable. We bought groceries the first day and hardly left. We used the lenai daily, breakfast every morning and fed the birds. Enjoyed the beautiful gardens and pool. Everyone was very accomadating and freindly. The Palms was a very quiet relaxing vacation. ...Access to the beach was not easy to find and not within walking distance, especially if you are carrying anything like snorkeling equipment. We usually stay in Kaanapali with beach front so this was a totally different experience. ...It was our 3rd visit to Maui and staying on a different part of the island was like being on a different island altogether. ...Loved the Palms...not so crazy about the location.

Great Value and Location

We loved staying here. Wailea is a quieter place than Kanapali and Kihea, the area is extremely well kept and the property is well maintained with a very friendly and responsive staff.

Great Location - Spacious Unit

We love The Palms because; a) it is located in Wailea which we believe is a better destination than the west side of the island (Kapalua/Kaanapali) in terms of weather, beaches, and amenities, b)it is more spacious and comfortable for families than hotels and comes with a full kitchen, c)it has a clean and well manicured grounds, and d) it is tastefully decorated. While no-one will confuse the condominiums with the Four Season's, Fairmont Kea Lani, nor the Grand Wailea, they are still far superior rooms and units to traditional hotels (would rank 3 to 4 stars), walking distance to an unbelievable sandy and not over-crowded beach (Keawakapu) and offer the same services (i.e. an activity) desk as a deluxe hotel and do NOT try and sell you a time-share. We are going back!!

Very Nice Resort

We have been to Hawaii 3 times now and the Plams at Wailea is by far the nicest place we have stayed. The grounds are excellent. The condo we stayed in was 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was completely furnished. The condo area is extremely quite at night and very peaceful. We would highly recommend staying here. The only down side is that you are not right on the beach. We took a car to the beach every day. The beaches are not that far but not within walking distance either. We have stayed up north and the beaches in the Waliea and Kihei are the best around. If you are shopping for groceries use the Safeway in Kihei and get the frequent shopper card (free) and it will save you a good amount of money. ENJOY!!

I wanna go back already

The Palms in Wailea was beautiful. We were able to rent a bar-b-que and hang out with the family. The Condos have a lot of space in it. The location is not that far from anyything. The pool was nice, but kinda small. No depth, but you can use the pool at the hotel down the street. I cant wait to go back. I am already saving.

Location is a plus. Short walk to the beach. Rooms can range from average to excellent depending on the room you receive. When you pay that kind of money for a room, if you're like me, you want the "excellent" room.
