I LIKE THE PLACE..SO ACCESSIBLE..THE FRONT OFFICE AND THE PEOPLE WHOSE VERY MUCH ACCOMMODATING.. THE STAFFS ARE SO FRIENDLY.. THE CLEANLINESS AND THE SERVICE ITSELF FOR AHHH PERFECT ! MORE POWER!!!!! AND MAY YOU SERVE BEST!!!!

I've been to Singapore a number of times and the Raffles The Plaza is by far my favorite. Try to stay in the South tower though. It is newly renovated and is worth the extra cash. The staff is great and friendly. The food was wonderful and I enjoyed the short walk to anywhere we needed to go. This was a great experience and I ended up staying at this same hotel four times after the initial trip!

The good: great location. The mall/train station is underneath the hotel (easy train to the nightlife on Orchard rd) (I counted less than 100 steps to the bookstore on the 3rd floor of the mall!) Chimes across the street has some nice, fun restaurants and hang-outs. The walk down to Clark and Boat quays is very reasonable and additional nightlife not so far from there. The staff was very friendly and cooperative, though if I hear one more time about the minor scuff in my pants (from the laundry service) I will finally have to buy a new wardrobe. The not-so-good: some rooms are long outdated (the south tower? or is it the north? ...the cheaper side), I had water dripping out of the ceiling twice before the front desk moved me (to an 'upgraded' corner room) and I developed a cough that lasted 8-9 weeks before i finally got antibiotics to make it go away. I also was charged 4 times for a bag of potato chips I only ate once (at 5 or 6 sing, it adds up) I think my next trip I will be trying out another hotel, hopefully the rooms will be more up to date and more comfortable, were I staying on the more expensive side I would be more tempted to stay, if only for the location.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed, great shower. This hotel was in an ideal location near shopping and the subway, and has a very nice spa and fitness center.

The location is excellent. It is at an MRT interchange so you can get anywhere in Singapore easily and in comfort. It is within easy walking distance of a number of great spots such as The Esplanade, Clarke Key and the Padang. The rooms are not huge but they are very well appointed - the beds in particular are very comfortable, the raindrop showers are great and the towels a decent size! The views are great particularly if you get one looking seaward. The service is always efficient and unobtrusive. The spa is also excellent if a little pricey. We have been 4 times now and we love it.

I spent many nights in this hotel between December 2006 and January 2007 because of work assignment. The location happens to be right next door to my place of work, but given that it's smack dab in the middle of central Singapore, I would imagine the location to be satisfactory for most visitors. It is also right next to a subway station and a shopping mall with lots of places to dine. During my stay there, I could literally spend all my time inside the building complex (which had its benefits during the rainy season). The service in this hotel is excellent. The little things made a difference for me. On my first night there I asked for some ice cubes, and on subsequent nights I never had to ask for it again. Every day when I got back to the room after work, there was always a bucket of ice cubes waiting for me. And they had the common sense to fill the ice bucket in late afternoon so the cubes were still solid when I got back to the room. There are also a few niceties in the hotel room: - A Bose CD player and FM radio, which they tune to soft classical music to greet me back from work. - A private balcony overlooking the Singapore marina (nice view). - A desk and comfortable office chair for whatever work that couldn't be finished at the office. My only complaint is not enough TV channels. They offered HBO and some cable TV channels, but didn't offer good entertainment channels such as Star World or AXN.
